Guard play was front and center on Saturday at the MI College Tour Northwood, especially within the 15U division where a talented group of backcourt players made their mark. She handled the ball with confidence, using a quick crossover to create separation and get past defenders with ease. Once in the lane, she showed great touch, finishing with a smooth floater, while also knocking down shots from beyond the arc. On the defensive end, Samiyah was just as impactful, using active hands to disrupt plays and come away with multiple steals. Her all-around performance made it clear she's a guard capable of affecting the game in a variety of ways. She also made her presence felt on the glass, crashing in for offensive rebounds, and turned defense into offense with a coast-to-coast finish off a steal. Her all-around effort and ability to impact multiple areas of the game made her a difference-maker all weekend.     Katie, a guard for Mystics, put together a strong performance at the MI College Tour Northwood, showing her ability to impact the game in multiple ways. She excelled attacking the basket, using her quickness to slash through the defense and finish once she got inside. Katie also turned defense into offense, taking a steal the length of the floor for a coast-to-coast score. On top of that, she competed hard on the glass, crashing in to secure rebounds and extend possessions for her team. Her energy and aggressive style helped her stand out throughout the event.
