Defensively, Young was picking off passes and locking down her assignment without fouling. She did an excellent job of using her size to contest and block shots. Her hands were active as she came up with multiple deflections as opposing teams tried to make interior passes. Offensively, Melcher runs the floor well and had several nice post moves for easy buckets. She was active on the offensive boards, giving her team multiple extra possessions. She flashed her ability to get to the basket on several occasions. Dixon showcased finishing skills, including using a slow euro step and letting defenders fly by before finishing for a layup. Her quick first step allows her to get two feet in the paint. Dixon was making the correct reads led to open jump shots for her team.
