Gone are the seniors who did their thing for 4 years, and next up are the future classes that will make headlines in their areas. It could be someone from the junior class, the sophomore class, the freshman class, or an upcoming 8th grader; you just never know who or what kid is going to be the next shining star. You have heard me use the term 'breakthrough' and talk about confidence a ton. When both the mental and opportunity meet, a kid's game rises to the next level. You never know when it will happen; it could be sooner or later, but when it does, that is when one becomes a prospect, and coaches at the next level begin to take notice.   When thinking about basketball, there is so much to it. It truly is a grind that must be worked on consistently. You can't just pick up a ball and expect to go to the pros. You have to consistently work on your craft, perfect it, add to it, study it, and excel, all the while preventing someone else (an opponent) from being great as well, while doing so within a team framework. It's a lot, but it's all worth it.   This game, we have some up-and-coming kids who are gonna be solid pieces for a club. Here are a few names that may go unnoticed now, but you will know who they are before it's all said and done.    Every year, this young lady adds to her bag. She is a tough competitor who can do many things. From knocking down shots on the perimeter to finishing in the paint, she's grown every single year offensively, turning herself into a threat any time she is on the floor. She's also one who will contribute in other phases of the game. Rebounds, steals, boxing out, she brings a total package to the game that is impactful. The maturation process has been phenomenal, and I look for her to be a solid addition to a club at the next level.     The light has clicked on, and this kid is playing with a lot of confidence. She can score at all three levels, but what I love most about her is her defensive ability. She is going to challenge an opponent and make them work for everything. She's one who won't shy away from an opportunity to prove she is better. This kid has grown over the years and has added her speed and ability to use it to her advantage; she is a tough opponent anytime she is on the floor.     One step at a time, this young lady has transformed her game into one that opponents must respect. She can beat you off the dribble and get to the paint or dial it up from 3; she finds the bottom of the net at a consistent clip. She's a solid distributor, handles the rock with poise. Defensively, she gets after it, keeping her girl in front, contributing on the boards. As she continues to put it all together, she is building herself into a prospect coaches will love to add to their program.     This young lady is nice. She is a 3-level scoring threat that shoots it with confidence. She has range to her game, where the ball finds the bottom of the net. If you run her off her mark, she doesn't hesitate to put the ball on the floor and get into a mid-range jumper. She is a solid defender who gets deflections, steals, and contributes on the boards. A solid kid who is rising up the charts.     A dual sport athlete who uses her speed to cause disruption. She is a solid defender who isn't afraid to get after it. Her offensive game speaks volumes as she can dial it up from deep or put it on the floor and finish at the rim. She's played multiple positions for her club, displaying her versatility and willingness to do whatever it takes to give her club an advantage. She has a tremendous work ethic and an infectious can-do attitude. This young lady will have options at the next level. Doesn't matter the sport, she is going to be a solid addition who contributes once she steps foot on campus.
