The prospects turning heads this season are the ones competing every possession, embracing physical basketball, and impacting the game on both ends of the floor. She applies full-court pressure, attacks passing lanes aggressively, and consistently forces turnovers that lead directly into transition opportunities. She competes with toughness and plays with the type of edge coaches love to see from a lead guard. Her ability to create chaos defensively gives her team momentum and changes the tempo of games quickly.   Offensively, Jones is continuing to expand her game as a combo guard. She shows confidence attacking downhill, pushing the pace in transition, and creating opportunities off the dribble. One area that has shown development is her ability to stop on balance and knock down the mid-range jumper. When defenders overplay her speed, she does a good job using hesitation moves and quick first-step explosiveness to get into scoring areas.   Her basketball IQ and competitive nature also stand out. She plays with confidence, communicates, and embraces big moments instead of backing away from them. Even against older or more physical competition, Jones competes possession by possession and never looks overwhelmed by the moment.     Shannon brings a tough, aggressive, downhill style of play. She is not a player who waits for the game to come to her — she attacks it. Her strength is her motor, defensive pressure, and ability to compete with energy on both ends of the floor. She embraces guarding multiple spots, applies pressure, and plays with a physical edge that helps set the tone for her team.   Offensively, Shannon has continued to grow as a scoring guard. She can push the ball in transition, attack the lane, and use her midrange jumper when defenders back up. Prep Girls Hoops also noted her shooting ability and summer improvement, which shows she has been putting work into becoming more complete as a perimeter threat.   What stands out most is her competitiveness. Shannon has shown she can contribute in big team wins.     Smith's biggest strength is her ability to make winning plays consistently. She thrives as a true floor leader who understands how to read defenses, create opportunities for teammates, and keep offensive flow moving. She plays with poise under pressure and doesn't force the action unnecessarily, showing maturity in decision-making that stands out for her class.   Defensively, Smith competes with intensity every possession. She pressures the ball well, communicates, and takes pride in making life difficult for opposing guards. Her toughness and willingness to embrace physical play allow her to impact the game even when shots are not falling. She consistently hustles for loose balls, rotates defensively, and brings strong energy on both ends of the floor.   Offensively, Smith can attack downhill, finish through contact, and create space off the dribble when needed. She does a solid job pushing the pace in transition and keeping defenders off balance with controlled aggression. One of the more impressive parts of her game is how she processes the floor — she sees plays developing early and often makes the extra pass that leads to easy scoring opportunities.     Crawford is a dominant interior presence with size, strength, and natural feel around the rim. She plays through contact, rebounds with authority, and gives her team a true post option who can finish inside. Her hands, footwork, and ability to seal defenders make her tough to handle on the block.   Defensively, she changes the game as a rim protector. Crawford contests shots without giving up easy fouls, controls space in the paint, and makes opponents think twice before attacking the basket. Prep Girls Hoops scouting notes also highlight her shot-blocking, rebounding, post scoring, and physical upside.   Her production backs up the eye test. She earned first-team all-district recognition for Red River, and public scouting posts have also highlighted big scoring performances and her next-level potential.     Istre is a long, skilled wing with real two-way upside. At 6'0”, she has the size to play inside, but her guard skills allow her to handle the ball, attack from the perimeter, and create mismatches. She is comfortable putting the ball on the floor, finishing through contact, and using her length to score over smaller defenders.   Defensively, she brings major value. Her size, timing, and activity allow her to guard multiple positions, contest shots, rebound, and jump passing lanes. She has already been recognized publicly for her perimeter defense, speed, strength, and athleticism.   Her production is also showing up. She earned Class 2A All-State honorable mention recognition and has been highlighted for strong performances, including double-double type outings with scoring, rebounding, blocks, steals, and perimeter shooting.     Joubert is a young guard with confidence, pace, and natural playmaking feel. She handles the ball well under pressure, keeps her eyes up, and understands how to make reads without rushing the game. Her ability to change speed, attack gaps, and create off the dribble makes her a dangerous lead guard.   What stands out most is her IQ and decision-making. She plays within herself, looks to get teammates involved, and shows the maturity to control tempo. Defensively, she competes hard, stays active, and uses quickness to apply pressure.   As she continues developing strength, finishing through contact, and consistent perimeter shooting, Joubert has a strong chance to keep rising. She is a 2030 prospect to watch closely because her poise, handle, court vision, and competitive edge already stand out at a young age.
