The energy was electric at the Jazz City Jam as the 13U division hit the floor with fearless confidence, nonstop hustle, and a love for the game that stood out all weekend long. Even at a young age, this group showed they are already building the foundation to become the next generation of standout prospects.   From the very first game, the pace stayed fast and competitive. Guards pushed the tempo, wings made plays in transition, and young post players battled hard inside while learning how to impact the game on both ends. Every matchup brought intensity, effort, and flashes of serious potential.   What stood out most was the passion and willingness to compete. Players dove for loose balls, celebrated teammates, embraced coaching, and continued fighting through every possession. The skill development is already showing — from improved ball-handling and shooting touch to defensive instincts and court awareness. This group may be young, but the hunger and confidence were impossible to ignore.   Jazz City Jam gave the 13U division a major stage to learn, grow, and showcase their potential, and these athletes made the most of the opportunity. Coaches and scouts saw a talented group full of energy, upside, and players who are only scratching the surface of what they can become. Standing at 5'1", Martin brings quickness, energy, and a fearless approach every time she steps on the floor. She plays with the mentality of a true floor general, pushing the pace in transition while staying aggressive attacking defenders off the dribble.   What stands out most about Martin is her ability to impact the game with speed and effort. She handles pressure well for a young guard, keeps defenders on their heels with her ball-handling, and consistently looks to create opportunities for herself and her teammates. Her quick first step and ability to change directions make her difficult to contain in open space, especially when she gets downhill attacking the rim.   Defensively, Martin competes with toughness and energy. She applies pressure on the ball, stays active in passing lanes, and brings the type of hustle coaches love to see from young guards. Her motor, confidence, and willingness to compete on every possession continue to separate her from many players in her class.   As she continues to develop physically and expand her overall offensive game, Martin has the tools to become a very intriguing prospect to watch in Louisiana's younger classes. The potential, confidence, and competitive edge are already there — and her upside continues to grow with experience.     Gross stands out with her activity level and willingness to do the little things that help teams win. Whether it's running the floor in transition, attacking loose balls, defending with effort, or making hustle plays, she consistently brings intensity and competitiveness to the game. Offensively, she shows flashes of being able to score off the bounce while also finding opportunities within the flow of the offense.   One of the most intriguing parts of Gross' game is her defensive potential. She competes hard on the perimeter, stays active with her hands, and brings physical effort guarding multiple positions. Her ability to move, recover, and stay engaged defensively gives her the tools to become a strong two-way player as she continues developing.   For a young player, Gross already shows good instincts, confidence, and a willingness to embrace coaching. Willow Stevenson is a young point guard with good size for her class and the potential to grow into a strong floor leader as her game continues to develop. At 5'3”, Stevenson already shows the ability to handle the ball, play with confidence, and compete with energy on both ends of the floor.   She brings value as a guard who looks comfortable facilitating offense while also staying aggressive attacking opportunities in transition. Stevenson competes hard defensively, stays active around the basketball, and plays with a high motor that coaches appreciate from young guards.   What stands out most is her upside and willingness to compete. As she continues improving her pace, decision-making, and overall offensive skill set, Stevenson has the tools to become a solid young backcourt prospect in Louisiana's rising classes. Her size, effort, and developing feel for the game make her a player worth watching moving forward.
