This past weekend, the Peach Games tournament took place in Marietta, Georgia, featuring some rising stars in the 14U division who left a lasting impression on scouts. Today, I'll be discussing the key players, those "X factors," who made an impact every time they stepped onto the court. In each matchup, we witnessed these players improve their skills and grow in confidence as the weekend progressed. Let's take a closer look at a few of these X factors who stepped up and competed when it mattered most in the 14U division.    Allen made tremendous improvements to her game over the weekend. In each matchup, her confidence skyrocketed, and she added more flair in each performance. As a stretch forward, she plays aggressively in the paint and consistently brings a high level of energy to the court. She excels at the little things that matter most, whether she's diving for the 50/50 balls and stepping up to make significant plays when her team needs her. Allen showcased this weekend her versatility in her game; she loves to push the ball in transition and takes advantage of opponents' missed assignments. In essence, she has the ability to shoot from beyond the arc, making her a threat from anywhere on the court. As an incredible hustle player and vocal leader for the NME 14U team, she brings a ton of energy to the program. Allen has the potential to be a game-changer, both offensively and defensively.     Next up is [program_tooltip program_id='1237402' first='HER' last='Elite']'s small forward, [player_tooltip player_id='1823313' first='Abrielle' last='Allen']. She is an impressive young player with a lot of confidence in her game. Abrielle loves to crash the boards, making the defense pay for not boxing out by scoring second-chance points. Standing tall and athletic, she uses her highly skilled basketball IQ to make the right plays and effectively makes the extra pass to her teammates. As a slasher, Allen utilizes her length to her advantage and finishes strong around the rim, even when facing contact. Allen is a disruptive defender who uses her active hands to pickpocket opponents, leading to steals and fast breaks on the other end.     Taylor Nance is the floor general that every team needs. She is a shifty guard who effectively controls the game. A 3-level scorer who can hurt opponents from anywhere on the court. Nance is a high-level playmaker with excellent court vision. She is the engine that drives her team, skillfully balancing scoring and facilitating at a high-level. With her ability to change speeds, she keeps defenders off balance. Nance is an elite decision-maker when the rock is in her hands; she is also unselfish when it comes to involving her teammates, making everyone around her shine.     Taylor Haggard is another long, athletic forward who really made a lasting impression on scouts this past weekend. She's aware of how effective she can be in the paint. When she's poised and lets the game come to her, she is unstoppable. Haggard runs the floor really well, and those long strides make her dangerous in transition. She's a sneaky contributor who can produce offensively. Haggard also uses her length to her advantage, blocking shots and protecting the paint, making it hard for opponents to get easy shots in the lane. She's a defensive threat, and when she's set up nicely by her guards on the block, she can go to work.     Each time Smith's name was called, she contributed right away. She's a player who may do the little things that don't show up on the stat sheet but can have a huge impact on her team. She's a combo guard who likes to drive into the lane and finish around the basket. Smith also has a silky smooth jumper, which adds versatility to her game and makes her a threat when she gets to her spot in the midrange. She excels in the pick-and-roll action and is able to read the defense well in real time. Smith has the ability to play under control even in chaotic situations and brings a steady presence to the backcourt.
