Tomorrow, June will be upon us, which means it's almost time for the quarterly Summer rankings update. Now that 2026 is headed out, I will begin my focus on the Class of 2027. Over the next couple of days, the updated rankings and watch list will appear online, but in the meantime, I wanted to tip you off to some new names who will be joining the lists. This article covers five ladies labeled as shooting guards who will be new to the list when it's released later this week.

I haven't seen Aaliyah out on the grassroots circuit this Spring, but last Spring & Summer she had some really good moments. She is long, fast, and bouncy. She plays with a nice motor but could learn to change speeds a little better depending on the situation. She can get hot from the outside and make multiple 3-pointers in a row. Defensively, she does a nice job of using her length and quickness to get her hands on a lot of steals/deflections, plus she can really bother opposing ballhandlers. She has a lot of natural talent a small college could benefit from.

Paityn transferred into Noll this past season from Merrillville High School, and she played a ton of minutes and gave them another athletic guard. She moves around the floor fairly easily, and she can contribute at both ends of the floor. Offensively, she's primarily a driver who can create offense for herself or find open teammates. She does hit the occasional 3-pointer, but once that becomes more consistent, she could be much harder to defend. Defensively, she is active, and she can use her speed and quickness to cause problems at that end.

Olivia is a really nice, versatile, intriguing wing prospect who could be a nice fit at a lot of the Midwestern small colleges. She has a couple of older sisters who have played NAIA ball, and she could follow in their footsteps. She has an athletic frame, wiry strength, and she moves reasonably well in all directions. She plays hard, she's willing to be physical at her size, and she always finds ways to contribute, even if she isn't scoring. For Griffith this Winter, she averaged 8.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 3.7 steals per game.

Amelia has been a lot of fun to watch all Spring, because she plays so hard and probably gets about as much out of her ability as anyone. She does a little of everything for her team(s), and she makes a lot of hustle plays...she's willing to lay her body on the line to save a possession. She has spent a lot of time handling the ball and initiating the offense this Spring, but she's also a fairly accurate perimeter shooter who can get hot quickly. Amelia also defends with some physicality, and she's a willing rebounder.

Amyah is a solid looking wing prospect who has intriguing potential to her game. She is long, wiry, and fairly athletic in most directions. She is more of an attacker and likes to score it in the mid-post some, but she can knock down the occasional 3-pointer to keep defenses honest. As she adds to her perimeter skill, it could turn her into a tougher matchup for opponents. Defensively, she can use her length and athleticism on the ball, plus she can create steals/deflections from "help" side. She's also a capable pursuing rebounder who can chase down loose balls.
