The 2027 rankings received their latest update last week, and attention now turns to the next wave of talent as updates for the Class of 2028 are on the horizon. Spring and summer basketball always create opportunities for players to elevate their game, improve their stock, and force their way into the conversation.

Here's a look at some of the players on our watch list who took advantage of those opportunities, showed growth in their game, and put their talent on display over the past few months.

Mollee is tough—plain and simple. She isn't afraid to handle the ball, take on pressure, and do whatever her team needs from possession to possession. She can step out and defend on the perimeter or battle inside and hold down the paint, giving her true positional versatility.

Her ability to guard multiple spots on the floor is a major strength, and she plays with a physical edge. Whether it's chasing a loose ball, fighting for a rebound, or absorbing contact, Mollee never shies away from the gritty parts of the game and competes with a high motor every time she's on the floor.

Kaycee isn't a traditional post and isn't a traditional guard — and that's exactly what makes her valuable. She plays with patience, processes the game quickly, and impacts winning in a variety of ways. Whether she's facilitating offense, switching defensively across positions, crashing the glass, or making the extra pass, she consistently makes the right basketball play. As her offensive aggression continues to develop, expect her stock to continue rising in Utah's 2028 class.

Lyv continues to build one of the more complete guard games in Utah's 2028 class. She has good positional size, shoots it confidently from deep, and has developed the handle and burst to create off the bounce. What separates her is her versatility — she can space the floor, attack closeouts, facilitate offense, and compete defensively. As her confidence continues to grow, expect her name to keep climbing recruiting boards across the state.

What stands out about her game is her physicality and versatility. She's comfortable handling the ball, defending multiple positions, and attacking downhill. She plays with a toughness that coaches appreciate and doesn't shy away from contact. Defensively, she has active hands and enough size and strength to guard either backcourt position and some wings.

The move to Mountain Ridge could be particularly interesting because of the opportunity it creates. The Sentinels graduated key interior pieces and are looking for players who can defend, rebound from the guard spot, and create offense without needing the ball in their hands every possession. That fits Ashton's game well.
