Mountain Ridge lost a few pieces from last season’s roster, opening the door for some new faces to step in and make an impact. For Cali, the move makes plenty of sense. Having already played club basketball for the Mountain Ridge head coach, she enters a familiar system with an established relationship and an understanding of what will be expected from her. Keeping her club and high school coaching under the same umbrella should make for a smooth transition and allow Cali to step into a meaningful role right away. What stands out about her game is her physicality and versatility. She’s comfortable handling the ball, defending multiple positions, and attacking downhill. She plays with a toughness that coaches appreciate and doesn’t shy away from contact. Defensively, she has active hands and enough size and strength to guard either backcourt position and some wings.

The move to Mountain Ridge could be particularly interesting because of the opportunity it creates. The Sentinels graduated key interior pieces and are looking for players who can defend, rebound from the guard spot, and create offense without needing the ball in their hands every possession. That fits Ashton’s game well.

Cali has come from Idaho to join Lehi’s squad, and although Brynlee Cook Brynlee Cook 5'6" | SG Lehi | 2026 State UT and Madison Andrews Madison Andrews 5'11" | SG/CG Lehi | 2026 State UT are usually the primary scorers, she stepped up in a big way against Mountain Ridge. She finished with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals in Lehi’s 45–38 loss to the Sentinels. Her ability to impact multiple areas of the game shows she could become an important piece for Lehi as the season progresses.

Cali is a serious sleeper. She came in from Idaho under the radar. She plays fast, controls the rock, and knows how to get buckets. Quietly making a big impact—and people are starting to notice.

Ashton has been good this year in scattered minutes on varsity. She moves wel land can put the ball on the floor and attack the rim. She has a good shot and she has a bright future with Lehi.
