JSE Showcase: Impact Playmakers from West Monroe

Impact shows in many forms. Some players score, some players facilitate and some players make the hustle plays that impact the game in the biggest moments. Taking the time to work on a full spectrum game requires hard work and a tough mentality. Here are some of the players the demonstrated all of those qualities in West Monroe.

Robinson showed why she is a top player time and again in every competition. She is a long wing with unlimited potential for the next level. She is intense on the court and works inside and out. In the paint, she is a high level rebounder and defensive intimidator. On offense, she is a three level threat and works within the offense. Excellent series of games in West Monroe for the next level underclassman.

Landers is no longer an underclassman and her game is ready for the next level. She is bigger, stronger and faster than last season and steps into a starting role for Wossman with ease. She is a strong guard, that uses her size and strength to impose her will on everyone. She prefers to work on the baseline and when she gets going towards the rim, good things happen. She is a strong finisher, but also facilitates from the block. She is a true stock riser in the state.

Johnson continues to improve her game showcasing her consistent development with each game. Her skill set starts with her ability to make the hustle plays, but she can score from all three levels when the game needs buckets. She can guard all 5 positions on the court and step in to run the offense when needed. Her game is complete and her stock continues to rise.

After watching Brown, it is clear that she has next level potential. She is a fearless competitor and controls the game on both sides of the ball. Defensively, she frustrates opposing guards and moves her feet with the best of them. Offensively, she manages the game with ease finding her team mates in their spots. She can get downhill and finish at will and create off the dribble. Consistent next level performances for the rising sophomore.

West Monroe is a fun team to watch with a strong young group, and Norl jumped out right away for a few reasons. She is skilled beyond her classification and her agressiveness matches upperclass prospects. She has a tight handle and fights to get to the goal. Her game is developing, but her intensity and skill is clear. Keep an eye out for this rising sophomore because her game is fun and intense.

We are just getting started with our player evaluations, and there is much more to come.
