Last week, before the scholastic live period, I attended a three-day camp, put on by Travis Diener, that included around 70 talented incoming freshmen from Wisconsin. I spent most of the three days learning about some of the 2030s before they get to high school in the fall, and taking notes on most of the players there. I didn't end up getting notes on every player, but we will look at some of the players who stood out from the three-day event in Mequon and what they bring to the floor.

Ganju is an undersized guard who can play on or off the ball and find ways to contribute on both ends of the floor. I thought she did a solid job competing defensively, which she'll have to do because she'll give up size in almost every matchup. However, I thought she uses her speed well offensively and will be a threat to get downhill.

The Madison native has solid size for her position and will probably be at her best as a four or five at the high school level. Eddins' best attribute, as I saw it when I watched her at camp, was her physicality. Unlike most players entering high school, she should be able to play through contact and handle playing against older kids well. She's not afraid of contact, and with the talent in the Lancers', she'll have a chance to get better practicing against scholarship-level frontcourt talent every day, which should help her.

The Darlington native showed some moments that caught my attention when I saw her at camp. I thought she was active offensively and didn't waste time with the ball. Fink seemed to have a plan before she caught the ball and was decisive when it got to her. However, her ability to guard the ball and keep her assignment in front of her could help her excel early in her high school career at a smaller school like Darlington.

In all honesty, smaller guards, especially younger ones, can feel like a dime a dozen, and make it harder for them to earn roles at the high school level as early as other players. However, players like Arnold are hard not to love watching, from a neutral standpoint. She was unafraid of contact and even searched it out at times. Seeing a kid like her dig in and box out 6-0 kids is something I get a kick out of, but it showed how competitive she was, whether she got a rebound or not. That's not even mentioning how confident she was as a creator. We'll see if she carves out a role at the high school level early on, but she was a player I enjoyed watching.
