PGH East Region Finals Standouts: 15U Synergy Hoops

The PGH East Region Finals hit Long Island this weekend, and the Northeast's best came ready to compete. Bragging rights were on the line, and the talent on display made it clear why this region doesn't sleep. Let's take a look at some of the players who had themself a day.   By Josh Ebrahim    Mueller was electric on Sunday. She made tough shots look easy from the perimeter, has fluid mechanics, a quick release, and zero hesitation shooting the ball. She is equally dangerous on or off the ball, but does real damage from catch-and-shoot spots. Has enough handle and change of direction to create space when needed. Her court vision stood out, sees the floor, sets teammates up for easy looks, and pushes the pace in transition before the other team can get set.     Scott is an athletic, high-energy combo guard who can knock it down from the perimeter, slash to the basket, and create her own shot. She has good handle, solid vision, and the kind of competitive makeup that shows up in the hustle plays, the loose balls, the extra possessions, the hustle moments that don't show up in the box score. Defensively, she brings it every possession, physical, quick laterally, and active contesting shots without fouling.     Davison is a versatile prospect with upside who impacts the game. She can play inside or outside and has the athleticism to slash and finish at the rim. Good mechanics, a quick release, and the decisiveness to make the right read without hesitation. She crashes the boards hard and times her jumps well to block shots.     Eaton displayed polished footwork in the paint, is comfortable facing up or playing with her back to the basket, and has the strength to beat defenders and finish through contact when she attacks. She gravitates toward the top of the key as a point forward, whether it's driving from the elbow, making the defense collapse, or kicking out to open shooters. She takes care of the ball, plays with good balance, and has enough handle to put it on the floor and create.     Creekmore is a savvy point guard who just knows how to play. Her IQ was on display, making different reads and showing her versatility as a passer. She found lanes for teammates when the defense closed out, played out of the pick-and-roll, and used her pull-up mid-range jumper efficiently. She pushes the pace and keeps defenses honest, but never at the expense of smart decisions. She can reel it in and run the proper sets or take matters into her own hands and go get a bucket.
