It was a great experience to witness these guards play in person. She has the frame of a college guard. She is super athletic with a quick first step. She sprints past opponents when she is running the lanes for easy baskets. She soars above others when pursuing rebounds. She has all of the physical tools to play at the next level. She has very active hands on defense with great anticipation. She is able to jump passing lanes for easy steals. She is also a terrific on-ball defender. Payton has great vision with the ball and is able to find the open girl cutting to the hoop. Payton has a nice looking shot and I am looking forward to her gaining confidence scoring the basketball. She is a lock for an All-Region 1 position in the future.

Hadley looked taller than her listed 5'6 height. She is another impressive athlete on the floor. Her base is very strong and she isn't easily knocked off her driving lanes. She is able to use a great rip-through move and get past primary defenders before stopping and popping an easy floater over secondary defenders. She is able to attack weaker secondary defenders and finish through contact and get to the charity stripe where she is able to knock down free-throws. Hadley plays with great effort on the floor and it was easy to see why she was selected to the All-Region team in 2026.

Abby is continuing to improve her game. She seems a little bit better each time I see her play. I was impressed with her improvement in her ball-handling. She was able to bring the ball up against pressure this weekend and didn't seem to be fazed by opposing defenders. She was able to spin past defenders, retreat dribble, and use her speed to break opponent's press defenses. She is more than capable from lighting it up from deep and I would consider her one of the best outside shooters in the WDA. The two-time All-WDA selection is hoping to make it three in a row next season. I am confident she will get the job done.

The number five ranked player in the state just committed to play basketball at Minot State University. The Beavers have done a great job at getting North Dakota girls and Tylie is the latest great prep player to head West. She is going to be a solid Northern Sun guard. Her speed, strength, and competitive nature is going to translate nicely to that league. She is fearless driving to the basket and isn't afraid to attack taller defenders and challenge them at the rim. She is great at flipping mistakes into 'next play' opportunities. She is a terrific guard who is gearing up for another great season as a senior.

Delanie only played in 8 games this past season for the Demons so it was hard to get a good look at her as a player. I was able to catch her in action this weekend and liked what I saw. She played with good pace and space, not rushing anything and making good decisions when the ball came her way. She is a capable ball-handler and did a good job of taking care of the ball. Small details of her game stood out to me, like her meeting the pass and limiting turnover opportunities. She did a good job of playing out of "Spain" pick-and-roll. She read the defense, refused the screen, and was able to get to the basket for an easy bucket. She is going to be a key contributor for Bismarck High next season.

The Bowman County prospect was good to see in person. She is taller than I expected her to be based off of the film I have watched. She is at least her listed 5'8, maybe even taller. She has longer arms and a good reach which helps her defensively. She is a crafty left-handed player who is difficult to stop once she gets downhill. She is able to rebound and push the ball herself. She was part of a younger high school team that had its ups-and-downs in 26-27. They barely missed reaching the Regional Tournament after falling short to a Flasher team that was ranked in the top 5 the entire season. The Bulldogs are ready to take the next step next season with Honeyman at the helm.

Faul is one of the best athletes in Class B. She is going to be looked at to utilize that athleticism next season with the graduation of teammate Aubrey Kenner. Kenner was one of the primary scoring options for the Wildcats and they will need Addisyn to use her speed and quickness to get downhill and to the basket. Her athletic ability can really put pressure on opposing teams' defenses. She is fantastic in transition and is able to beat defenders up the floor for easy buckets. She thrives on the defensive side of the ball and is able to take turnovers and push the ball in transition herself. Benson County had state championship ambitions last season but fell short with a loss in the state semifinals. Faul is eager to help lead them back for another shot at a state title in 2026-2027.

It was a great experience to witness these guards play in person. I do a lot of my evaluations from film and it was fun to see these girls ball out live.
