The number five ranked player in the state just committed to play basketball at Minot State University. The Beavers have done a great job at getting North Dakota girls and Tylie is the latest great prep player to head West. She is going to be a solid Northern Sun guard. Her speed, strength, and competitive nature is going to translate nicely to that league. She is fearless driving to the basket and isn’t afraid to attack taller defenders and challenge them at the rim. She is great at flipping mistakes into ‘next play’ opportunities. She is a terrific guard who is gearing up for another great season as a senior.

Brodina is describe by Coach Porter as an instant bucket. She has the ability to score from all three levels. She is also a true two-way player, giving extreme effort and execution on the defensive side of the ball. She rebounds really well for her size and makes good decisions when getting downhill to the basket. She is able to draw defenders and kick to open teammates or finish with contact. Her athleticism, quickness, and strength will all translate well to the next level. She is another player on this squad who holds multiple NSIC offers.

Tylie had another terrific season leading Devils Lake back to the state tournament in 2025-2026 season. She finished her junior season averaging 18.8 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.6 steals per game. She also shot the three ball at 32%. This kind of year puts you back on the 2nd-Team All-State Team for the second consecutive year. She is Devils Lakes best player and has already had an incredibly decorated career. She heads into her AAU season with a handful of NSIC offers, a league where she will fit right in. I am looking forward to seeing how her offseason progresses.

Tylie is a superstar and is ready to perform when stakes are at their highest. She recently dropped 28 points in a 58-55 victory over Wahpeton January 2nd. She also scored her 1000th career point a couple of games ago. Tylie has picked up plenty of division 2 offers, a level where she will excel. She is one of the all-time greats to play at Devils Lake.

Tylie is the ‘pit-bull’ of North Dakota girls’ basketball. She is incredibly tough and showed out at multiple tournaments this summer. Tylie’s best offer so far is from Minot State’s Head Coach Ryan Clark, an excellent talent evaluator. He is doing a great job of getting high-level girls out to Minot. Tylie’s Twitter account shows she is being followed by Concordia, Minnesota-Crookston, Mayville State, University of Mary, Minnesota State University-Moorhead, University of Nebraska at Kearney, in addition to local Division 1 schools University of North Dakota and North Dakota State University.

Tylie plays with great patience and is ultra-talented.  She can shoot from outside and does a great job of controlling the pace with the ball.  She is comfortable handling the ball as the point guard but is also terrific off the ball.  She is a hard-nosed competitor and someone anyone would love to have on their team.

Tylie always plays hard and with great enthusiasm and today was no different. She put on the best shooting performance of the day. She made multiple three-point shots during gameplay and had a streak of three straight possessions of made threes. She was all over the floor defensively and dove after every loose ball. The NSIC schools today were impressed with what they saw.

Tylie is a super tough player who is like a pitbull on the floor.  She conducts herself like a true veteran on the court, despite only heading into her junior year.  She has a great floater game and can shoot it from deep.  Her athleticism is really impressive and something college coaches are writing down in their notes this weekend.
