Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the top standout performers from Friday's second day of action at the Midwest Showcase in Columbia.

[player_tooltip player_id='803053' first='Ryenn' last='Gordon'] (Centralia): The 5'9" 2027 Murray State commit was the consummate point guard as she always is when she hits the court. She has a ideal balance of being the playmaker and setting teammates up and being the primary scorer with her offensive bag. She is a three-level scorer who changes speeds very effectively to keep defenders off balance. She can break them down to create her own shot. She also displayed some quick hands on the defensive end with some impressive strip steals off the dribble.

Elexis Holmes (Muskogee, OK): The 6'1" 2028 shooting guard from Oklahoma was one of the more impressive players that we watched during the day. There was a reason why there were many Power 4 conference coaches sitting packed along the sidelines watching her play. She has a smooth shooting stroke from 3-point range that extended well past the line. She could the ball on the floor and create her own shot at any time. She can play at any pace and she also used her height to go inside and score over smaller defenders. She also played at the top of her team's zone defense where she could be disruptive with her long wingspan.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039479' first='Kinley' last='Larsen'] (Stafford): The 5'8 2028 guard was one of the more entertaining guards that we watched during the day with her ability to score in a variety of ways. She is an elite perimeter shooter who was knocking down shots from well past the 3-point line. She can shoot it with confidence coming off a high ball screen, off the catch or creating off the dribble in an iso situation. Her shooting range also gave her the extra space to create off the dribble to get to the mid-range or all the way to the rim to get a bucket.

[player_tooltip player_id='777608' first='Bristol' last='Lathrop'] (Ash Grove): The 6'1" 2027 forward recently gave a commitment to SIUE, then came to Columbia and had an excellent showing while leading her team against some bigger schools throughout the event. She creates matchup problems with her height and excellent overall skill set. You can run offense through her with her ball handling and passing ability. She can step out and hit the 3-pointers off the pick and pop. She really had the 3-pointer working in the second game she played in. She can also handle herself in the paint as she has gotten much stronger, so she can play the physical game. She also rebounded the ball and blocked shots.

Rian Lenox (Lift for Life): The 5'10" 2027 forward played her usual blue-collar game in the post as she played a big role in the Hawks victory over West Des Moines in a close contest. She was a force in the paint with her physical play and high level of activity. She owned the offensive boards in the second half as she scored on multiple putbacks when her team needed it. She was also very good on the pick and roll as she set solid screens and made some tough catches on the short roll, which led to layups. You know what you are going to get from her in every game. A lot of rebounding and a whole lot of toughness.

[player_tooltip player_id='1279145' first='Brynn' last='Bandermann'] (Jackson): The 5'5" 2029 point guard had a big game in the Indians' victory over Hayden in the morning session game. Jackson many talented young players who can have big games, but it was her turn in this particular contest. She is a solid floor leader who distributes the ball and can play strong defense, but she was really shooting it well from 3-point range in this game. Her teammates did a good job of finding her and she was knocking shots down. She also penetrated in the lane and hit a nice runner off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='999522' first='Ainsley' last='McWilliams'] (West Plains): The 5'6" 2028 point guard was very impressive in the game that we watched against Solon (IA). She was playing with excellent pace and she was really shooting well from long distance. She was touching the paint with dribble penetration and finding open teammates when she drew a defender towards her. She plays fast, but she is under control with her high basketball IQ. She recently picked a few Division I offers.
