The Missouri Phenom 15U EYBL team took home the Platinum National Championship Trophy after leaving it all on the floor each and every contest this weekend in Chicago. During the final moments of the final game, their PG Ryenn Gordon took her defender off of the dribble and hit a floater in the middle of the lane at the buzzer to walk off as National Champs. Games like these don’t come down to one play but if that shot doesn’t fall, a lot of things would be different at this current moment. It’s also important to note that this team played through Gordan the entire contest. She was the one handling pressure and running her team’s offense up top, while everyone else was playing to their strengths as they eventually captured the win. When you look back at 2024 EYBL Nike Nationals, this game by Gordon is going to be talked about for a long time so I’m glad I was able to see it first hand.
