In terms of grassroots basketball, we will have a short lull until the next few tournaments kick off in the middle of the month. In the meantime, we will look at some players who have caught my attention through May as we get into the stretch run of the 2026 grassroots season. Today, we will look at a few names for programs to see this July.

The Michigan native is from just over the bridge in Menominee, but plays her grassroots basketball in Wisconsin for [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces']. The 5'10 wing is a solid athlete who has shot the ball well when I've seen her play in April and May, and will only get better as she plays with her teammates more. However, no matter where she goes, she will space the floor at a high level and use her length to make plays on the ball defensively. She has plenty of room to grow.

Players who play hard will always draw some attention from college coaches, and Dean plays hard whenever she's on the floor. The Milwaukee-area native has room to polish up her offensive game over time, but is a player who can record a double-double without having a play run for her. Her effort level helps set her apart from her peers and can help win her team games based on her winning 50/50 balls and generating extra possessions.

The Eau Claire native is a player who had a lot of responsibility in her first season of high school basketball. Neumueller had some flashes in her first season and looked comfortable doing everything to help her team compete. As she gets into a setting where she can fit into a role and do what she does best within her [program_tooltip program_id='713205' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'] unit, she will be a player worth noting and making time to see if possible.

The Eau Claire native applies her trade during the grassroots season in Minnesota, so she's a little out of sight out of mind during the grassroots season most of the time. However, Gardow is a player who can score in bunches, play either guard spot, and make plays on the defensive end. She's a talented multi-sport athlete who competes year-round and wants to win above all else. Gardow is a player who thrived next to a talented primary ball handler at their best with the ball, and she fit nicely alongside her, which shows how well she can fit into a role that best helps her team.
