She is a mixture of a PG/SG but stands out as an elite shooter from deep when she can catch in rhythm. Last season we saw Edwards have some eye-opening performances on the offensive end to lead her Eagle Grove team and I expect more of the. same this Winter following her successful AAU campaign with her AIA program. When the players around you become better, you role tightens up. We have seen that with Edwards this Spring/Summer but she has shown that she can have obstacles in her way and she can still produce as a competitor. Edwards has been someone we have seen making their mark in the stat books from Winter to Winter and I hope we see that again this season for her Junior year.

Becker was a JV player last season within the Waukee NW program as a Freshman. With having such a loaded Varsity roster, this makes sense. Most of the Freshman from the 2029 Class didn't make the Varsity team but still got their minutes in on the JV squad. One of those players was Becker. She got some court time and did a decent job of making the most of it. She never seemed to waiver in her confidence whenever she took the floor, always being ready to go when her name was called upon. I'm not sure this 2029 group makes the Varsity team this Winter either in reality. They return basically everyone except 1 or 2 players, along with a deep bench and they should be the group favored to win the 5A State Title this time around if they play their cards correctly.

Sound shooting form. Balanced footwork. A willingness to sacrifice her body of the good of the team. An active defender in primary and help-side defense. These are all things terms that could be used to describe Parker Bivins of Ames High School. Bivins, the 5'8 CG, is a threat from the outside of the catch, she understands the strategic part of the game, and she won't force unneeded action. We saw Bivins in Iowa City last Winter when her Ames team came into town and she was someone that stood out as a solid ball player. She followed that up with a remember AAU campaign this season and now she is looking to take over as a Sophomore when she steps back onto the high school court within the next few weeks.

Nessa Mueller is mainly a three point threat on the offensive end right now. When you break down her numbers from this AAU season and last year as a Freshman, Mueller primarily does her shooting from deep behind the three point line. Last Winter she saw some minutes on Varsity and shot a total of 50 shots on the season, 43 of them were from behind the arc. This isn't a bad thing, it's just something to note. When Mueller is playing with confidence and she see's a shot fall early, you better watch out if you are playing defense because it could turn into a long evening for yourself and your team. It's really early on in her basketball career so over time I would expect her to add onto her game as a whole and once she does that, she is going to be really tough to stop in the grand scheme of things.

HH is one of those hoopers that stands out because of her activity on both sides of the ball. Hendrick is a 5'8 CG with a good feel for the game. She is always one of the most athletic players on the floor when hooping and she has a battery that never seems to run out. She can fill up the stat book in several different categories and she usually does. One night it might be points, the next it might be rebounds, and the following it could be steals - it all depends on how the flow of the game is going for her. This is still a younger prospect, with a lot to learn, but she does a good job of showing her worth out on the court whenever she is playing. We saw that first hand this Spring/Summer.
