Becker was a JV player last season within the Waukee NW program as a Freshman. With having such a loaded Varsity roster, this makes sense. Most of the Freshman from the 2029 Class didn’t make the Varsity team but still got their minutes in on the JV squad. One of those players was Becker. She got some court time and did a decent job of making the most of it. She never seemed to waiver in her confidence whenever she took the floor, always being ready to go when her name was called upon. I’m not sure this 2029 group makes the Varsity team this Winter either in reality. They return basically everyone except 1 or 2 players, along with a deep bench and they should be the group favored to win the 5A State Title this time around if they play their cards correctly.
