Never once did she let the pressure get to her, never once did she fumble, and never once did she doubt herself.   Now let's talk about this girl's stamina. Holly always knew the exact moments when she needed to push herself and when she needed to scale it back and conserve her energy. Something interesting about Holly is that she also uses her stamina as a way to deceive her opponents. There were several moments when Holly slowed down, and her opponents thought they could overtake her, but they were mistaken. At one point, Holly had possession; she slowed down, and her opponents began to encroach on her. Holly then went from a dead stop to sprinting down the court, flying past her opponents.     Her ball-handling skills are near-professional; she always had a smile on her face, and she knows the importance of keeping her team's morale high. When it comes to her ball-handling, Marissa knows how to do it right; the key is keeping the dribble below the waist to minimize exposure to defensive strips and steals, and no one on her team can do it better than she can. It was obvious to everyone in the audience that Marissa absolutely loves playing basketball; she always had such a bright, beaming smile on her face, it was infectious. Several points in the match, Marissa could be seen enthusiastically cheering on he fellow athletes; even when she was on the bench, she was chanting "defence" along with her other teammates with such gusto.     She's got that weak-hand mastery down, she's competitive, and she's a passing expert. This is [player_tooltip player_id='1884578' first='Maya' last='Gutierrez'], the undisputed MVP of her team. This girl can dribble, pass, and even finish layups flawlessly just as well with her non-dominant hand, which is such an important and difficult skill to master.   Maya has that competitive spirit that every athlete needs to push them to their limit. She never once shied away from being in the middle of the action and being right where her team needed her. Maya was ready to deliver a sharp and precise pass whenever the occasion called for it; several points in the game, you could see Maya executing perfect pass after perfect pass, never once missing her target. Maya is the consistently reliable athlete that every team needs to shine. Josie kept her focus locked onto the action throughout the entire match. She consistently watched the ball, communicated with her teammates, and reacted immediately whenever the opposing team attempted to create an opening.   Let's talk about Josie's drive-and-kick abilities. At one point in the match, Josie caught the ball and immediately drove toward the basket. As the defense collapsed around her, she recognized that one of her teammates had been left open near the perimeter. Rather than forcing a difficult shot, Josie made a quick and precise pass that made and open scoring opportunity Josie also showed incredible discipline when closing out to shooters. She approached quickly enough to disrupt the shot while remaining balanced and under control, preventing her opponents from easily driving around her. Josie's awareness, execution, and defensive discipline showed exactly how dialled in she is every time she steps onto the court.     Eloise Ellsworth is always ready to catch and shoot, can deliver pocket passes with near perfection, and knows how to map out a fast break even before it fully develops. Eloise constantly positioned herself so that she was prepared to shoot the moment the ball reached her hands. During one particular possession, she relocated into open space along the perimeter and prepared her feet before the pass arrived. Eloise caught the ball, immediately rose into her shooting motion, and released it without any hesitation.   Something else that Eloise excels in is her passing awareness. During the middle of the match, she used a perfectly placed pocket pass to send the ball between two defenders and directly into the hands of her teammate. She was also fantastic at mapping out fast breaks. Whenever her team got possession, she kept her head up, identified where her teammates and defenders were headed, and made quick decisions that kept the offense moving. Her readiness, vision, and precise passing make her and exlent offensive player.
