Florida Players Who Made an Impact on Friday at Run 4 Roses

The first NCAA live period of July tipped off Friday at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. 80 different courts were filled from morning until night with some of those having college coaches evaluating prospects from schools across the country. The atmosphere matched the stage as thousands of players competed in one of the largest exposure events of the year. Florida was well represented throughout the day with several prospects delivering strong performances and helping their stock heading into the remainder of the weekend. Here are some of the Sunshine State standouts from Friday at Run 4 Roses:    Sawsan continues to impact the game in a variety of ways on both ends of the floor. She rebounds and immediately pushes the break which created transition opportunities without needing an outlet pass. Her vision stands out as she delivers accurate one-handed passes ahead to teammates and consistently sees the floor well. She stretches defenses with deep shooting range and hit multiple "hand down, man down" three's when left open. Defensively, she contests shots, jumps passing lanes for steals that turn into easy transition points, and is constantly around the basketball. She also does a good job of drawing defenders before creating for teammates or finishing herself, making winning plays possession after possession.     Harmeni controlled the offense with the poise and confidence you want from a point guard. She consistently set up the offense, created quality looks for teammates, and made strong, crisp passes with purpose. She did a nice job of penetrating the defense before finding shooters in the corner and picked up multiple assists by making the right read. As a scorer, she knocked down a corner three, connected from well beyond the arc with time and space, and came off a screen into another three with confidence. Defensively, she stayed active by getting out to contest shots and added value on both ends of the floor.     Biannca is a young 2030 point guard who plays with confidence and doesn't look intimidated by the moment as she almost always plays against older competition. Though she's one of the smaller players on the court always, she has a natural feel for the game, moves well with the ball, and carries herself with the poise and swagger of a seasoned floor general. She created space with a nice step-back jumper, stopped on a dime for a pull-up, and consistently looked comfortable operating with the ball in her hands. Her shooting form is fundamentally sound, she has strong handles, and she has a solid feel for the game. These traits give her plenty of long-term upside as she continues to develop.     Veda showcased her versatility by impacting the game in multiple ways on both ends of the floor. She has the size and length to create mismatches while also possessing the handle to bring the ball up the floor and initiate the offense. Offensively, she knocked down a baseline jumper with good elevation, attacked the rim for a strong and-one finish, and used her length to make passes over the top of the defense. Defensively, she got low in her stance, stayed engaged, and used her length to deflect passes and disrupt opposing ball handlers. Her combination of size, skill, and versatility allows her to contribute in a variety of roles.     Serena continues to prove that strength, toughness, and versatility can overcome a size disadvantage. Despite often being matched up against taller opponents, she consistently holds her own and competes on every possession. She finished through contact for an and-one, converted a strong left-handed finish at the rim, and delivered one of the better defensive plays of the game with a clean block on a taller player attacking the basket. Her physicality, competitiveness, and willingness to battle make her a valuable presence on both ends of the floor.     Jaiden was the most dominant player I watched all day and looked nearly impossible to contain. Her explosive first step and shifty handle allowed her to get wherever she wanted on the floor by consistently beating defenders off the dribble and getting to the rim at will. She finished efficiently around the basket, knocked down outside shots at a high clip, and was equally comfortable pulling up for mid-range jumpers when defenders backed off. Defensively, her speed and competitive nature make her a nightmare as she's always looking to make a play on the ball. Her combination of speed, scoring ability, and shot creation made her one of the toughest covers in the gym and a constant offensive threat every time she touched the ball.     Kylee used her length and athleticism to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she was disruptive in the full-court press, using her reach to bother ball handlers, force mistakes, and create turnovers. Offensively, she knocked down shots from all over the floor and consistently surveyed the defense before attacking open gaps downhill. Her hesitation move and crossover helped her get into the paint, where she regularly drew contact and finished through traffic. She also showed the ability to finish with either hand which made her a difficult matchup once she got a step on her defender.
