What separates Peterson is not just her speed, but her ability to control it. She plays fast without being rushed—stopping on a dime, changing direction, and accelerating with purpose. Peterson consistently got downhill, scoring at the rim while also creating opportunities for others. Her court vision, ball IQ, and ability to manipulate pace allow her to impact the game in multiple ways. Whether she’s attacking or facilitating, her speed opens up the offense and elevates everyone around her.

Jaiden was electric in the second quarter for Bishop Moore, scoring 13 points to help build a double-digit lead before halftime. She finished with 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals while running the offense with her handles and crafty playmaking. Jaiden’s ability to create for herself and teammates made her a shifty and efficient facilitator, shooting 8-for-13 from the field and looking comfortable from every level. Her performance was a major reason Bishop Moore advanced to the state championship game.

Her fist objective is scoring and handling primary ball-handling duties, demonstrating strong court awareness and the ability to keep her team organized. Peterson’s comfort with the ball allows her to dictate tempo and make smart decisions as a facilitator.    She gets up and down the court quickly. Offensively, Peterson has the ability create scoring opportunities, both for herself and her teammates. She can attack the defense off the dribble, use her quickness to get into the lane, and make plays when defenses collapse. Her skill set as a ball handler and play-maker allows her to be effective in transition as well as in half-court situations. She is also fun to watch in the full-court press where she spends a lot of time getting steals and buckets.

Each year she takes another step forward, and her impact goes far beyond scoring. Jaiden is one of the most active, physical guards in Orlando—constantly speeding opponents up, pressuring ball handlers, and forcing turnovers with her energy. She uses that same athleticism to attack off the dribble, blowing by defenders and creating offense for her team. Her two-way presence is undeniable.

Jaiden brought high energy and athleticism to the Rollins College 3-on-3 tournament. Using her speed and quickness, she was able to get past most defenders and attack the basket with a soft, controlled finish. She wasn’t afraid to seek contact, showing toughness while maintaining skillful execution. On defense, Jaiden stayed active, creating opportunities with steals and forced turnovers. Her combination of energy, athleticism, and defensive effort made her a dynamic and impactful presence on the court.

Jaiden plays so hard and showcased her high motor at the Sophomore ID Camp. She already holds multiple D1 offers and is one of the smoothest guards in this class with craftiness to finish amongst the trees and the skillset to score it from all three levels. I expect Bishop Moore to take that next step forward, and JP will play a massive role in that as the team leader in points, assists, and steals.

She was one of the best shot creators in the gym, consistently reacting to tough defensive pressure and improvising on the fly to get her shot off. Whether it was knocking down threes, pulling up in the midrange, or finishing crafty layups through traffic, Peterson kept defenders guessing all day. Her speed in transition, high-level basketball IQ, and ability to make highlight-reel plays proved that she’s a guard built for big moments. Without question, she was a Top 5 player at the showcase and left no doubt that she belongs among the elite in her class.

Last season, she scored 324 points while shooting 46% from the field, doing so in a multitude of ways—from behind the arc, mid-range jumpers, creative layups, to getting to the free-throw line. Peterson’s ability to find any way to score is impressive to watch. The question now is: will she emerge as the top scorer at the Sophomore Showcase?

The young guard left opponents in the dusk with her speed and her basketball skills were superior to her peers. Peterson has continued to be a step above the rest and her speed, scoring ability, and basketball IQ are the characteristics of an elite guard. Peterson can shoot the three ball. She is evasive in the transition game and is able to finish at the rim with craftiness and consistency. Some of the finishes are hilight reels and hard to comprehend. Peterson has been “that player” since Day 1 and her performance this past travel season was not miraculous- it’ was expected and she delivered.
