LBI Summer Showcase: 2028 Primetime Performers

Use the discount code Carolinas26PGH25OFF for 25% off registration!</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the June camp month in the history books, premier prospects from around the country are reconvening with their travel teams during the important month of July – one that includes two high-profile live periods.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prior to when those take place, a number of grassroots teams spent a portion of their Fourth of July weekend at the Kemba Walker Sports Academy – the former Carolina Courts. The occasion was this year's LBI Summer Showcase.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We at Prep Girls Hoops were on hand for the day's festivities as well. At 5-foot-10, she has the height of someone who can play the four but thrives in the backcourt. Powell previously played at Hickory Ridge and her travel career included a stint with Team United. She has maintained a busy athletic schedule throughout the years as she has also played soccer, volleyball and flag football. Powell played in 30 of the Eagles' 33 contests last season and averaged 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game in 2025-26. Wallace's team was on the wrong end of a 43-39 decision in the latter portions of Sunday's play, but she still put forth a 12-point effort to boost her team. Out of the 12 she scored, seven occurred in the first half. Much of what Charlotte Monarchs 16U got accomplished in that contest was near the rim but Wallace did connect on one of only two 3-pointers in said matchup. While Cipriano possesses the height of a four forward or even a traditional big, her 3-point shooting displays why her bread and butter is what she gets done when she plays at the two. Opposing teams have to game plan for her defensively as she is a consistent threat to collect steals and block shots. Cipriano would compete in all 30 contests last season for the Knights while averaging 11.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.6 steals per contest. She is a playmaker on both ends of the floor between her ability to convert high-percentage buckets, rebounding, winning battles on the boards and shot rejection. Collecting steals is another advantage to her game and she will showcase her offensive versatility via her ability to connect from 3-point range. Last season, Tsolenyanu averaged 9.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game for a 7A Cleveland team that finished last season with a record of 17-9. She was recently announced as having joined the NC GBB program. Las Vegas and Nike Session 3 for the upcoming weekend's live period is up next for Tsolenyanu and her [program_tooltip program_id='1855543' first='Carolina' last='Hornets'] United teammates.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
