The [program_tooltip program_id='712692' first='Missouri' last='Flight'] 17U squad is a group of talented players from the Southwest part of the state. They are led by head coach Dale Lamberth, who has been running this successful program for many years.

The Flight had a very successful week at the Run 4 Roses Classic in Louisville, Kentucky. They won the Platinum Bracket championship in the 2027 Cyan Division. they defeated

We got a chance to see the Flight a couple of times in Louisville. Here are some evals of the seven players that played in the championship game. An eight player was 5'11" [player_tooltip player_id='1231698' first='Avery' last='Havens'], a talented 2027 forward from Ozark who did not dress for the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='849007' first='Anaya' last='Perry']: The talented 5'9" 2027 guard from Kickapoo had a tremendous three days as she either got buckets or helped orchestrate plays for others with her playmaking ability. She kept the ball on a string with her handles as she was able to create her own offense, whether it was a smooth drive into the lane or a step-back 3-pointer off the escape dribble. She also rebounded the ball well and displayed some quick hands on the defensive end. She was able to impact the game in a variety of ways, which is why she is one of the premiere plays in the SWMO area and one of the best guards in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1097050' first='Lanie' last='Stokes']: The 5'7" 2027 guard from Marionville scored 10 points in the championship game, with much of her damage coming from the free throw line. That is because she is as aggressive on the drive as any guard that you will watch play. She is fearless and she doesn't mind the contact when she attacks downhill. She will also hustle and get her share of rebounds from the guards position. She also has good anticipation on the defensive end to create steals and turnovers.

Kayleigh Stiemel: The 5'8" 2027 forward from Fordland scored nine points in the championship game. She plays much taller than her actual size because she is an excellent athlete who jumps high and is quick off the floor. You think she's 6'2 or 6'3 with how easily she can jump over people for rebounds and buckets. She has a soft shooting touch off the glass and she also attacks the offensive boards with tenacity. On defense, she plays the top of the half-court trap where she can be disruprive length and high level of activity.

[player_tooltip player_id='1752561' first='Rylie' last='Fletcher']: A 5'10" 2028 forward from Marionville who is a physical player who provided much of the toughness along the front line. Her compete level is excellent as she battles for rebounds and does an excellent job of screening to get teammates open. She can also score around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='716551' first='Addison' last='Cleghorn']: The 5'8" 2027 forward from Logan-Rogersville scored a team high 13 points in the championshp game, including a pair of 3-pointers in the first half when she did much of her damage. She also did a good job of attacking the close out with a shot fake and rip through to get to the basket off the dribble. She was able to get herself to the free throw line multiple times.

[player_tooltip player_id='874637' first='Kennidy' last='Keller']: A 5'8" 2027 combo guard from Springfield Central who is a versatile perimeter player. We like how she stays in attack mode and puts pressure on opposing defensive with her driving ability. She is a good finisher in traffic and through contact. She will also hit the open shot from 3-point range.

[player_tooltip player_id='1308661' first='Emeri' last='Perkins']: A 5'8" 2027 guard from Steelville provides the team with some excellent perimeter shooting. She has range that can extend well past the 3-point lane and she shoots it with confidence. She keeps the floor open for her teammates who live to attack the basket off the dribble. She also has a quick first step of her own when she wants to drive it.
