More Standouts from Nike TOC

Today, we will look at some of the players from Wisconsin who impressed me in the time I saw them play at Nike's Tournament of Champions. We will look at more players tomorrow. Neuenfeldt is a strong and athletic player who can help her team make winning plays by winning 50/50 balls. Her ability to win loose balls and get her team extra possessions won her team games in Chicago this past weekend. The Brookfield native excelled at finishing around the basket and finished with either hand around the basket. I thought she had a nice showing against a solid group. She was the most reliable source of offense and was a confident player with the ball. She moves it well and would do well in a motion offense at the next level. I think she's a solid shooter who can space the floor and create her own shot off the dribble. I also like her ability to move her feet on the perimeter and stay in front of her defensive assignment. Meinen is a player who will knock down shots well beyond the arc and will rise from beyond the professional line. I think she's an intriguing offensive talent who can put the ball on the floor and attack aggressive closeouts off the dribble. She is also a solid defender who can use her body to defend around the basket and box out to help clear defensive lines and help her team get out and run in transition.
