Southern Middle Tennessee Prospects (Part 3)

One thing I love about doing deep dives is that you start to realize the talent we have in various areas. Obviously, I am not a collegiate coach, but I do know the girls that hoop within our state can play at the next level. Like I tell people, we have the kids who can compete at the next level. It's up to the student-athlete to determine their altitude and for a college coach to see where they fit within their program.   If you go back over the years and follow the trend of schools that make it deep within state, you kind of see a pattern where schools make certain runs. For example, Richland made a state run this past year. That pattern was actually cultivated a few years ago, when they had some kids who could hoop. That team inspired the girls that played this past year in state, and you better believe this past team will do the same for this next wave of kids coming up. Though this is a theory of mine, just look out for patterns like this to know which schools will hopefully contend, and which prospects will jump on the horizon.   Let's get into some other prospects in the Southern Middle Tennessee area.    Young post player who will see some valuable minutes this upcoming year. A kid who has been grinding it out against some pretty stiff competition on the circuit and holding her own. Solid around the rim where she can finish over either shoulder. A tough defender who can block shots and own the boards. Great in the screen game where she can knock down middys on the roll. Keep tabs on this young lady because she is going to be a beast before it's all said and done.     Solid ballplayer who can utilize her body to establish favorable positions. One who can finish anywhere in the paint as well as knock down shots from other spots. She's a tough defender, one who contributes on the boards as well. Had a solid summer where she grew in both skill and confidence. Look for her to be a factor with this Lady Dogs program looking to make noise this upcoming year.     Don't let the size fool you, this young lady knows how to put the ball in the net. A three-level scoring threat, she is going to find ways to fill it up. Given any light, she's going to let it fly, scorching the bottom of the net. Over the years, her game has grown more and more. You take away one strength, she has a counter for what was taken away. She will be one of the top kids in her district.     Heady ball player who isn't afraid to take the big shots. She will be relied on heavily as her squad retools to make a run. A kid who can score inside the arc, but relishes from deep. When her team needs a bucket, they look for her to deliver. She's a solid defender. One who is willing to do whatever it takes to help her team win. Has had a solid summer and will look to carry that momentum over into school ball.     Moore Co. has gotten a steal of an athlete that will be terrorizing schools down south. A multi-level scoring threat that can create for herself and others. A heady ball player who makes the right reads and knows when and how to exploit a team's weakness. Has had a tremendous summer playing with the Stars group. That confidence has spilled over to putting in the work with her HS team. Look for her to spearhead a talented Moore Co. team where she will be the leading catalyst in multiple categories. A solid kid with a bright future.     An aggressive floor general who gets after it on both ends. Offensively, she is always in attack mode, looking to get a paint touch; she can draw two and kick or get into her floater game quickly. Defensively, she is going to utilize her speed and lock up her opponent. She creates chaos, and her ability to defend at a high clip puts her in position to get multiple steals a game. She's a sparkplug, and her team feeds off her energy. Look for her to have a solid year where her team will make some noise this upcoming season.     Solid ballplayer who is blessed with size and the ability to knock down the 3 ball from the arc. She is more than a perimeter shooter, as she can also do work on the inside. She's a scoring threat from multiple areas on the floor; however, she too is a solid defender who crashes the boards and blocks shots. A heady ballplayer who can make adjustments on the fly. When she has a mismatch, she knows how to exploit her opponent almost immediately. One who is on a mission to leave a legacy and return her squad to state contention. Look for her to help this club raise the gold ball once again this upcoming season.
