The 2026 Prep Girls Hoops Fall Showcase Lineup… Are You Ready?
Over the next two months, Prep Girls Hoops Illinois will be closing out our events with multiple showcases that give every grade level a chance to put themselves on our radar, compete against other top talent, and hopefully learn more about themselves and basketball. These showcases are, of course, meant to be competitive, but theyre also in place for us scouts to get a better handle on who to watch coming up next and who to watch as we go into the high school season. PGH UP Next - This event is our first time hosting it in Illinois, and the main focus is to get a first look at the younger generation that will be representing Illinois over the next couple of years. If you're a middle school player who wants to get a jump on recruitment, exposure, and overall visibility... you should be at this event!

Freshman Showcase - Our annual freshman showcase brings together some of our best young talent in the state who will be suiting up to play their first year in high school. This event is always special, simply because we might be scouting the next Miss Illinois & Gatorade Player of the Year. We've had some of the best talent show up to our freshman showcase who have gone on to do amazing things at the next level. Emily Fisher, Destiny Jackson, Aubrey Galvan, Sophie Swanson, Greta Kampschroeder.. and more.

Sophomore ID Camp - Personally, my favorite showcase in our fall lineup. This is my showcase to be part of and evaluate because it's a direct tell of "development." Over the past year, have you worked on your game? Have you worked on your skill set? Have you taken the time to work on your body and frame? For the players who compete in our freshman showcase and then return to this event, they are showing and telling us what they've done, and we get the chance to highlight this, which college coaches are big on. They want to know whether this player has improved from the prior year. Whether that's on offense, defense, or both... have they shown legitimate growth? We're looking forward to having those returners back in the gym and cross referencing our notes from their first year to see what they've done.

The Expo - To cap off our fall lineup, we present the expo. This is where our upperclassmen of our state get to shine, whether you're at the top of your class or you're just finding your momentum. This is the event that holds a ton of value and weight due to its stage in a high school prospect's recruitment. This is the age where colleges are taking notice of who you were, who you are, and who you might ultimately become if you were to join their program. This showcase gives us even more of an opportunity to highlight a player's development over the course of 2-3 years of high school play and AAU ball. It gives us a chance to put real reasoning behind why college coaches should keep their interest and/or act on their interest. Many players have benefitted from this, and sometimes this is even a hub for AAU coaches to build theyre new roster for live periods. All in all, this is the perfect ending to our fall events.
