2026 Freshman Showcase Preview: Players to know before

She is a fundamental guard who does all the little things on the court and knows how to play hard every possession. She has a really nice shot from deep, being able to get in her rhythm quickly.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1876634' first='Sidney' last='Carlson'] - Tahoma HS</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sidney is a player who is going to continue to grow into not only a three level scorer but also a player who can impact the game in all aspects. She runs the court well, being able to finish through contact or find open teammates who are trailing or pushing the pace in transition as well. I'm excited to see her compete against the top talent in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1606101' first='Taylor' last='Haak'] - Liberty Christian</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Taylor has an advanced game for just being an incoming freshman. On the offensive side, she has a stellar deep shot that is paired with high confidence to let it fly from deep. She is quick off the dribble and can play through contact nicely when attacking the bucket and getting down-hill.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1898803' first='Gia' last='Pender'] - Sumner HS</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gia is a guard who can play quick on the court, being able to utilize her speed in the transition game for both ends. She hustles back on defense but also runs the lanes in transition offense to find open teammates or get her own bucket. She stays patient with the ball in her hands and is able to use her elite vision to make great passes to her teammates.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
