Schmidtlein, Nadeau Top 2028 Rankings Update [FREE]

The 2028 rankings update has dropped, clawing past 150 total ranked prospects. Nearly 40 more appear on the Watch List. 14 prospects, including some advancing from the Watch List, join the rankings but due to attrition the overall number included grew by less than 10. Hayden's Hailey Schmidtlein Hailey Schmidtlein 6'0" | PF Hayden | 2028 State KS continues to top the list while Olathe Northwest's Katelynn Nadeau Katelynn Nadeau 5'8" | SG Olathe Northwest | 2028 State KS slides into the second spot. Movement within the top 20 includes a new addition to the top 10. A pair of newly ranked players debut in the top 25. Watch for follow-up articles that will dig deeper into debuters and movers.

A wide range of information sources feed into our player knowledge. My Prep Girls Hoops colleagues from within and outside the state catch games in person and online, study highlights, read reports and communicate with a wide range of people to identify new and keep aware of existing players. Reports from outside scouting and media sources, coaches at a variety of levels, parents, fans and players are among the sources also mined. News, photos, video, reports and comments continue to be immensely helpful in informing and shaping the rankings. A couple of things to remember are that players out due to injury or other personal reasons are not removed and, especially important, the rankings reflect Prep Girls Hoops' primary guideline of ranking athletes on their potential to play college basketball.
