2029s Summer Stock Report: Part 2

The Class of 2029 summer stock report continues with another group who made an impression with their play over the past few months. From production and versatility to the smaller details, each player provided something worth tracking as the high school season draws closer. Here are 5 prospects and what stood out from their summer performances.    Hawks is a strong perimeter shooter, who can knock down threes from the corners and top of the key, moving into space and showing her hands to make herself available. She contributed away from the perimeter too, cutting weakside for finishes and running ahead in transition to establish good position around the basket. Defensively, she used active hands to disrupt shots and make stops, adding another layer to her overall game.     Babb has quickness, strength, and shifty handles that allow her to create off the dribble and get into the paint against multiple defenders. She balanced scoring and facilitating well, attacking the basket when lanes opened while also finding teammates on drive-and-kicks and making clutch passes in transition. She can also knock down threes, showing the skill and IQ as a scorer and playmaker.     Burger has a good understanding of her role offensively, getting to the right spots and maintaining spacing to put herself in position to score. She stayed ready on the perimeter with her hands prepared to shoot, using a quick release to knock down threes from the wing. She also found scoring opportunities inside and in transition, running the floor and finishing around the block.     Scruggs brings nonstop energy defensively, pressuring the ball in the backcourt, reacting quickly in the press, and using her athleticism to force turnovers and pick off passes. Her anticipation and positioning allowed her to create steals in different areas of the floor before pushing the ball the other way for transition points. She competed from end to end, show a true full-court presence with her desire to get the ball and make something happen.     Stockton uses crossovers, between-the-legs moves, and stepbacks to create separation and score from all three levels. She read the floor well and attacked gaps with purpose, whether driving, taking defenders one-on-one, knocking down threes, or finding space for a mid-range jumper. She also made an impact defensively and in transition, turning a deflection into a fast-break finish, running the floor, and cutting to the basket for additional scoring opportunities.
