The gym was energized with motivated 2030s ready to put it all on the court at the Freshman Showcase in Louisville. I'm going to start with several players that caught by eye as soon as they hit the court.

In fact, I wrote in bold on my paper, “best shooter of the day.” FJ has a nice stroke and displays confidence from long range. She can stop on a dime, change her pace and adapt. She also is a tough defender with excellent timing on intercepting passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1480052' first='Bentley' last='Wagner'] is a player that gets a collective gasp from the fans. She's smooth on the dribble with a deadly crossover. She has great length and knows how to pace herself. Bentley consistently evades her defender to break free and be available for her teammates. She's one with huge potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1227320' first='Gabriella' last='Ratliff'] is one of the first prospects I saw in the morning and she did not disappoint. She has a unique toughness and grit. Gabriella has great height but stays light on her feet. She hustles, finishes well and isn't afraid to pull from 3. She is an effective scorer! She anticipates well on defense. Opponents were consistently swatted down when they attempted to pass over her.
