With a strong build, she has the handles of a guard and power of a forward. She's a strong rebounder and great at finding open teammates. Bussey times her cuts well and consistently scores over her opponents. But don't box her in too quickly, Bussey is dynamic and can hit shots at multiple levels. She is also a disruptive defender and competes with intensity. I immediately noticed her high-level footwork, which I would expect for girls a year or two older than her, so that was a nice surprise. She stays light on her feet, has a nice left-handed finish around the rim and is a solid blocker. Her athleticism is hard to top as she consistently used her jumps to swat down passes. I enjoyed watching her basketball IQ and how she moves when away from the ball, again a skill we don't see often in freshmen. Brown also stays active on the defensive end. She's lightning fast, allowing her to evade defenders. She's an excellent slasher who seeks out contact and is able to deliver despite the physicality she sometimes endures. Stella has a smooth 3-point shot. This is a player I wanted too see more of as I know I only saw a fraction of what she can do. I watched her fight to grab boards. She was on the floor a lot to hustle for 50-50 balls. She's the kind of player I would trust to go in a game and create immediately.
