Talented Point and Combo Guards in the 2030 Rankings

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri released its new Class of 2030 rankings this week. Here is a look at some of the top point/combo guards in the rankings.   [player_tooltip player_id='1897618' first='Kenslei' last='Woodard'] (Blue Springs): A 5'8" point guard who is one of the top young prospects in the Kansas City area. She has good quickness and a burst to get downhill going either left or right. She can escape from her defenders with her handles to create her own shot or an opportunity for an open teammate. She can also shoot it from 3-point range. She played with the MoKan Elite Jr. EYBL squad during the summer.     [player_tooltip player_id='1859714' first='Laila' last='Hayes'] (Parkway North): A 5'3" point guard who may be small, but she is small and very quick. The young lefty is a lethal shooter from 3-point range who can shoot it from well past the line. She can get downhill with her speed and she can also hit defenders with a change of pace. She played with Rise & Reign during the summer.     [player_tooltip player_id='1052787' first='Molly' last='Hiatt'] (Incarnate Word Academy): A 5'4" point guard who is a high energy player at both ends of the court. She pushes the pace on offense and she will pick up opposing ball handlers in the backcourt and apply good pressure on-ball defense. She distributes the ball well and can also hit open perimeter shots. She played for the [program_tooltip program_id='712694' first='Missouri' last='Phenom'] Jr. EYBL during the summer.     [player_tooltip player_id='1895438' first='Brynn' last='Gass'] (Festus St Pius): A 5'4" point guard who has an appropriate last name because she plays the game with speed, speed and more speed. She is a jet when she gets the ball in the open court on offense. She also enjoys providing on-ball defensive pressure at the other end. She played for the [program_tooltip program_id='712597' first='Knights' last='Basketball Academy'] during the summer.     [player_tooltip player_id='1897616' first='Kinsley' last='Matlock'] (Festus St Pius): A 5'3" point guard who is an excellent floor general. She plays the game with a pass-first mentality. She distributes the ball well and gets the ball to her teammates where they can operate, which shows a high basketball IQ. She has good quickness, which she also uses on the defensive end. [player_tooltip player_id='1243470' first='Paige' last='Nesbitt'] (St. James): A 5'5" point guard with good speed and quickness. She plays with excellent pace in the open court. She can create for herself and her teammates with dribble penetration and she can also hit open shots from 3-point range. [player_tooltip player_id='1897772' first='Skyler' last='Thomas'] (MICDS): A 5'4" point guard who has excellent quickness and a high basketball IQ. She creates disruption on defense with her ball hawking and anticipation to get into the passing lane. She has a quick burst to beat defenders off the dribble into the lane.
