Heading into this Sophomore ID Camp, our message was clear on what we would view as standout performances. For me specifically, it was all about development. Because I could see these players consistently, I had a good sense of who had developed over the past year and which areas of their game had taken a step forward. A good number of players stood out throughout the event, but the players selected for the All Event Team separated themselves with their consistency and impact in every 5v5 game, while also showing clear growth and parts of their game we may not have seen before.

From last year's event to this year's, there was a clear jump in the skill Corry displayed. Outside of the ball handling and the ability to score off her own creation, the smoothness and poise in her game stood out just as much. In the games that I watched, she never overdid her role, but she didn't minimize herself either. That's a healthy balance at showcase events, knowing when to take over while still playing within the flow and allowing the players around you to impact the game as well. Ignatius will be a team to watch this year, and Corry has the ability to put together one of those All-State type of seasons.

Benson has seemed to figure out what her strengths are in just a few seasons, and she knows how to get to her spots just as well. The mid range and the deep ball were her go tos, but that didn't overshadow her ability to get to the paint and finish there. As she continues to build on those strengths, the playmaking should fit naturally into her skill set and make her even more effective with the ball in her hands. She'll be a key piece for Example Academy this upcoming season.

This was truly my first time watching full games of Benamon, and this kid has a solid level of talent. She is beyond aggressive and doesn't shy away from showing it. A majority of her impact came from scoring the ball, and that's exactly what her team needed in their matchups. She figured out her role immediately and didn't slow down from there, whether it was knocking them down from beyond the arc or finding ways to create offense off the bounce. Kenwood has always had high level guards, and Makenzie may eventually fall into that category. The coaching and development are there, and if she follows the blueprint of the guards who came before her, we could definitely see her in that top group of guards in this class.

Calhoun gets to her spots by using her strength and pace. The ball handling is solid enough for her to hit angles, cover ground, and get to the rim. There's a high level of athleticism as well, and it shows when she attacks the middle. Her outside shooting is present, and she can knock them down from the mid range as well. She's already set herself up as one of the top combo players in this class, and as her development continues and her game expands, more offers could start to follow.

The growth spurt is a major key in Nowacki's recruitment, because the skill was always there. She has had her name mentioned by some credible coaches over the past year, especially with her playing for the Polish National Team and Kentucky Premier, but the added length gives her even more to work with. Defensively, that's where you see it right away. She isn't afraid to switch onto bigs and make things difficult, while against guards she can cover a lot of ground with her wingspan. On the offensive end, the skill set is wide. The ball handling, IQ, and patience make her a strong playmaker, but if scoring is what her program needs, she can create her own off the dribble, play off the ball as a slasher, or be a catch & shoot option. With the physical growth now matching more of the skill that was already there, Nowacki has high upside and is a major stock riser in this class.

*SHOWCASE MVP*
