Oklahoma Freshman Showcase: These 2030 Standouts | Part 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Enjoyed getting the opportunity to cover the incoming freshman class that will finally get the opportunity to represent their high school this upcoming season. That excitement was on display Saturday as these young ladies and parent took a day out of heir holiday weekend to attend the showcase. She can knock down the outside shot with a smooth shooting stroke but showed that she can play that driving guard as well.  Great length on defense allowing to keep the ball handler in from covering space.  Loved the hustle she showed getting out on the breaks and getting back on defense. Good outside shooter that has a very nice stroke with pop of the wrist and great backspin on the ball.  Tough defender that talked and switched on screen, a hard trait to find for an incoming freshman at time.  The most impressive p[ay of the day was on a break she made contact with the bump to create space for a knock down 3.  A 2030 guard that could make an immediate impact for Lone Grove this season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1871680"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a9c79b3861bc"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Guard that brings toughness and hustle to the floor when watching her play.  She can shoot the 3 as in 5/5 she got heated up with smooth looking mechanics but when those opportunities were not open she pivoted to a down hill moving without the ball type of guard.   I like body language as well. It seemed as if she was always wanting to do more for her team. I had the opportunity to coach one game and her energy on the bench to win a showcase game was great.   A player that seems whenever she laces them up it game time no matter what.  2030 guard I will mark down to keep track of for sure.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1833444"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a9c79b386205"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Guard that in my notes continually attacked the rim all day finishing on either side of the goal.  Now do not get it wrong this young lady can shoot the 3 as well.  Nice handles in the half court that understood the concept of turning the corner to get to the paint.  Finished with a layup, running floater, or a nice kick out to the open shooter.  Long guard listed at 5 '7 but plays taller with her length.  Guard that kept impressing me with her play. A shooter that does not lack confidence in her shot which is what you want from your shooting guard.  Reese caught on fire which could change any game.  When ran off the 3 point line she showed great finishes at the rim with a nice slide step finishing with either hand.  A player to watch this upcoming season and the upcoming years. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
