Oklahoma Freshman Showcase: These 2030 Standouts | Part 2

Long guard that showed a versatility game Saturday.  First time seeing this young player at what stood out was her offensive play. She can knock down the outside shot with a smooth shooting stroke but showed that she can play that driving guard as well.  Great length on defense allowing to keep the ball handler in from covering space.  Loved the hustle she showed getting out on the breaks and getting back on defense. A 2030 that should see a lot of varsity minutes this season and plenty of opportunities to put up big numbers

First time seeing this young lady play, and it didn’t take long to understand why the opposing coach was yelling “shooter!” The combo guard knocked down several shots in a row and quickly grabbed my attention.

She showed good handles in the open floor helping her team handle the press. Defensively, she displayed solid lateral footwork, moving side-to-side to cut off driving angles.

Enjoyed watching this player to watch, and is a combo guard that I look forward to keeping up with in the future.

Starnes uses strong dribble-drive moves to get to the basket, creating scoring opportunities and putting pressure on the defense.
