PGH Expo: Team 6 Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The PGH Washington Expo was a massive success this year. We had over 100 athletes attend, which set the record for most athletes at the Expo. Here is the team evaluation for team 6.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#33 - [player_tooltip player_id='1605178' first='Zaniyah' last='Jones'] - Edmonds Woodway HS</strong></em> - Zaniyah was a standout on both ends of the court, playing elite defense throughout the day while also being able to get buckets nicely. She uses her speed on the defensive end well to recover and keep opposing players in front of her. She scored in a variety of ways on the offensive end, being able to hit pull up mid-range jumpers and finish through contact. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#62 - Kyoko Beasley - Jefferson HS (OR)</strong></em> - Kyoko is a top ranked player in the state of Oregon and came to compete against some of the top talent here in Washington. She did a fantastic job throughout the day, blowing by defenders with ease and getting buckets from all 3 levels. She changed her pace well and made opposing players play at her speed. She is creative with the ball in her hands and created open shots for her teammates during 5v5 play. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#66 - [player_tooltip player_id='1919132' first='Madisen' last='Trombetta'] - Tahoma HS</strong></em> - Madisen was a standout throughout the showcase, being able to dominate the paint and showcase why she is a top 2029 player in the state. She was able to establish her presence down low early and not many players were able to matchup against her. Trombetta was able to extend her range too, knocking down jumpers but excelled in the paint with her excellent footwork and ability to finish through contact. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#69 - [player_tooltip player_id='1894684' first='Kierin' last='Dhesi'] - Eastside Catholic HS</strong></em> - Dhesi showed a lot of hustle throughout the day, rebounding the ball nicely and hustling for loose balls. She used her length to her advantage in the paint, being physical and always bringing energy to her teammates. She set solid screens while rolling hard down the paint while also being able to pop and knock down a few jumpers. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#86 - [player_tooltip player_id='941183' first='Lily' last='Riechelson'] - Glacier Peak HS</em></strong> - Lily is a dynamic threat on the offensive end, being able to score from all 3 levels throughout the showcase. She uses her dribble nicely to get by defenders and get in the paint, then being able to finish through contact with her elite footwork. Her jumper was elite too, knocking down shots from deep and hitting pull-up mid-range shots. She is a future division 1 player and is poised for a big season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#97 - Dororthy Berrett - Stanwood HS</em></strong> - Berrett was a force in the paint, being able to showcase her soft touch around the rim and establish her presence down low. She sealed opponents smoothly and was able to get open so her teammates could feed the ball to her. Dorothy rebounded the ball really nicely, getting many offensive boards that led to easy buckets for herself. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#313 - [player_tooltip player_id='1308604' first='Maya' last='Reyes'] - Tahoma HS</em></strong> - Maya is a quick guard who was a high level playmaker throughout the day. She did a great job anticipating her next play and controls the pace of the game smoothly. She was able to hit jumpers too, being a threat offensively at all times. She used her speed on the defensive side to get back in transition and speed up opposing players to cause turnovers. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#321 - [player_tooltip player_id='1240931' first='Jemma' last='James'] - Lummi Nation</strong></em> - Jemma's game standouts instantly when you watch her play as she plays with so much pride and energy on the court. She is fantastic in transition, always keeping her eyes up to find leaking teammates or able to utilize her speed to out-run players and get to the bucket smoothly. She is a lights out shooter from deep too, draining many threes throughout the day. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
