PGH Expo: Team 8 Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The PGH Washington Expo was a massive success this year. We had over 100 athletes attend, which set the record for most athletes at the Expo. Here is the team evaluation for team 8.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#190 - [player_tooltip player_id='1249193' first='Kadee' last='Spike'] - Union HS</strong></em> - Kadee is a top 2029 player in the state and her elite offensive game was on display all day long during the showcase. Spike was able to knock down threes, not only hitting multiple pull up threes but also some catch and shoot threes too. She uses her quick reaction time on the defensive side well to force turnovers while defending high level talent. Spike is a player poised for a big season next year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#65 - [player_tooltip player_id='985968' first='Clara' last='Stowe'] - Bellevue HS</em></strong> - Clara was a standout from the day. She knows how to use her length and strength in the paint to her advantage, showing elite footwork down low and being able to rebound the ball high off the rim. She showcased a much improved pull up jumper, draining multiple throughout the day and showing confidence in taking it. She is a player to keep an eye on as she continues to grow her game more and more on the court. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#91 - [player_tooltip player_id='1344693' first='Chloe' last='Miller'] - Kentridge HS</strong></em> - Chloe was one of the most energetic players throughout the showcase. She hustled every single play, never giving up on defense and always moving to open gaps on the offensive side. She used her size well in the paint to box out and rebound the ball during 5v5 play. Miller knows how to seal opponents well in the paint too, getting open smoothly. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#99 - [player_tooltip player_id='979373' first='Rosalie' last='Gasaway'] - Lake Stevens HS</strong></em> - Rosie is always a standout when I watch her play. She uses her size well and knows how to dominate inside the paint. She sets fantastic screens always rolling hard down the paint to get open looks when the guard sees her open. She rebounded well all showcase too, reading the ball off the rim quickly and using her athleticism to grab it. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#204 - [player_tooltip player_id='1822277' first='Leah' last='Gunn'] - Peninsula HS </strong></em>- Leah played solid throughout the day, handling it well and not turning it over often. She attacked gaps nicely, utilizing her speed to blow by opposing players and get to the bucket to finish through contact. She always made the extra pass, finding open teammates and playing unselfishly. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#308 - [player_tooltip player_id='751214' first='Jayla' last='Cavalier'] - River Ridge HS</strong></em> - Jayla is a fundamental player who knows her strengths on the court. She attacks relentlessly, using either hand to drive and get paint touches for her team. She always made the extra pass and seemed to enjoy setting up her teammates for buckets. She shot the ball well herself, being able to hit jumpers at a high percentage. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#310 - [player_tooltip player_id='1575009' first='Dallas' last='Broussard'] - Steilacoom HS</em></strong> - Dallas was 2nd team all league last year as a freshman and her game as continues to become more well rounded as time went on. She scored smoothly, attacking quickly and utilizing her speed to her advantage by blowing by opposing players. She has a solid jump shot too, being able to pull up and drain the shot. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#353 - Brooke Stevens - St Helens HS (OR)</strong></em> - Brooke was another player from Oregon to make the drive up and compete against high level talent here in WA. Stevens was able to shoot the ball well, knocking down multiple shots during 5v5 play and always staying ready. She suffered an angle injury but that didn't stop her from paying high level defense and bringing the energy for her team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
