PGH Wisconsin Freshman Showcase Team 8 Evaluations: Part Two

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another PGH Wisconsin Freshman Showcase is in the books. About 90 players made the trip to the Champions Center, and plenty of notable players stood out. We will look at the 5v5 teams and discuss what each player brought to the table when I saw them play. I'll highlight a few players later because of number changes and to make sure I know who I took notes on. Locke is athletic and likely excels in multiple sports. Her physical tools could help her get on the floor and develop into one of the more impressive defensive talents in the Fox Valley Association. Nigl won't be overwhelmed by older players and can overpower some high school players this winter. She doesn't need the ball in her hands to be effective and is willing to do the little things to help her team win games. She has the size and is willing to use her physical advantage to help get open looks around the rim. Faymoville also buys into playing as a post player and is willing to do all of her work in the paint. She can set a physical tone and outwork opposing post players in any game. However, DeBoer found ways to help her team. She reads the game well defensively and makes plays on the ball as a help defender. I also thought she did well when she had the ball. She pushed the ball up the floor in transition and helped her team get open looks offensively. She can play in either backcourt role and can be a kid who helps her team win on the margins.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
