SC Recruiting Notebook for 9/23

Recruitment will almost always have the attention of many a high school athletics aficionado.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As of late, there has been much activity in terms of offers, but several names are still carving out times to plan worthwhile visits. Of course, commitment announcements for notable seniors are always much anticipated.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Since our last update, we have had a couple more commitments from Palmetto State prospects in addition to more offers being extended. Smith added a second Lowcountry prospect to his 2027 recruiting class as Birch announced her commitment to the Jacksonville-area school. Birch is currently also representing SCISA 4A Northwood Academy on the volleyball court. She first received an offer from Flagler in mid-September and also fielded offers from Shorter and Lander. Birch competed in all 30 contests last season for the Chargers and averaged 19.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, five assists and 4.7 steals per game. To-Morrow – Randolph Macon for the senior standout from Nation Ford. Morrow received plenty of momentum recently on the recruiting trail as she secured offers from Marymount and Christopher Newport. USC-Aiken also extended an offer in Morrow's direction. Morrow competed her final season of grassroots ball on the Under Armour circuit with Team Mack and is preparing for her final season of school ball with a Falcons team that will be moving from 5A (Division 2) to 4A. She was also one of several team captains from last season's team. Pojani's latest offer found her from right up U.S. Highway 17 courtesy of Coastal Carolina. After a season where Pojani averaged 22.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 3.7 assists last season en route to that state win, First Baptist will be a favorite among many pundits to repeat because of how ferocious the Hurricanes' backcourt will be. Hanna and she is beginning to reap the recruiting rewards. A few days ago, the Yellow Jackets veteran standout secured an offer from Fort Lauderdale. She competed in 23 of T.L. Hanna's 24 contests last season and averaged 14.3 points and 6.7 rebounds last season. Oliver's Yellow Jackets will be moving from 5A to 4A this upcoming season and she was one of three from the class of 2027 on last season's T.L. Hanna roster. Among Oliver's highlights last season was when she set a school record for most points in a game with a 35-point outburst against Greer Middle College at last season's She Got Next Christmas Classic at J.L.
