How These Players got noticed at MS Basketball Showcase

Coach Harris hosted the Middle School Basketball Showcase at Immaculate Conception. I stopped by to catch the 2 early girls games between Kate Bond/Bellevue and Colonial/Maxine Smith.

Here are 5 players that caught my attention:

Kate Bond

Right now, I'm going to consider Dickson a small forward due to her being one of the taller players and her rebounding. Offensively, she comes out on the perimeter and stretches the defense with her long distance and three point shooting. Sometimes, she may even handle the basketball if that's what the team needs.

Bellevue

Nikiyah is an aggressive defender. She doesn't mind using her body to make contact. She had the task of face guarding [player_tooltip player_id='1936643' first='Shiane' last='Mossett'] and did not give her much daylight. Her anticipation skills is also at a high level. You will think a pass is headed to the player then she comes from out of no where and gets the ball. Offensively, she played point guard and some off the ball in the second half of the game.

Elayna is a 3 point shooting and rebounding guard.
