As we count down the days until the start of the season, I wanted to take a look at what's on the horizon for the upcoming year. I know in my past articles, I touched on the 2030 class and how there is a good bit of talent ready to take off. Now, I wanted to look into the 29s as they gear up for their sophomore season.

This upcoming season, I expect many more 29s to step up and take control of their opportunities. Now that they have gotten their feet wet and seen what this high school basketball thing is all about, I believe you will see a strong body of work from this class. There is something about them that I can't put my finger on. It's a good thing, without a doubt, but I expect this crop of ballplayers to take their game up a notch.

Big post player who will command the paint for the Lady Admirals. Playing behind Cecilie Brandimore (who now plays for Missouri), she learned a thing or two battling against her every day. Tenley is a force down low who has gotten stronger and more skilled over the offseason. Nice footwork; can finish over either shoulder. She finishes high-percentage shots and then controls the paint on defense. She is one who will contribute on the glass, eliminating second-chance opportunities for opponents. Look for her to continue growing and to be an anchor for this Franklin program over the next few years.

A young lady ready to take the next steps toward becoming a leader in this program. A young, versatile kid, she has honed her craft while duking it out on the circuit. She can stretch the floor and knock down perimeter shots or attack; she could also use her size to go to work in the paint. Either way, she'll find a way to put the ball in the net. Defensively, she blocks shots and contributes on the boards. She is solid guarding smaller opponents, making it difficult for them to shoot over her. This kid is going to be a top player in Metro Nashville sooner rather than later. Keep tabs on this young lady as she continues to get better. A solid ballplayer who will help the East Nashville program.

Heads to Friendship Christian, giving them a versatile kid who competes on both ends of the floor. A solid ball handler who can use her body to get to favorable spots, she is having fun and is confident, which shows in her game. She's a kid who'll find ways to put the ball in the basket. Could be from 3. Could exploit the mid-range. Could pound it down low and finish through the opposition. She's going to score, somehow giving you double digits. Defensively, she is solid and will contribute on the boards. She's ready to take the next steps and, with that, has brought renewed energy to the Friendship program. Look for her to spearhead their turnaround and help lay the foundation for something solid happening in Lebanon.

A kid who competes at a high level. A go-getter, she is going to do the little things right and then some. A three-level scoring threat who can create off the dribble or spot up along the perimeter. Plays with great confidence and possesses a high basketball IQ. I love the mental makeup she brings to the table. She's one who won't be denied in the pursuit of her goals. She's a solid two-way player who will contribute big time to the Lady Knights program. Look for her to continue growing and be another solid scoring option for this Nolensville program as it looks to take the next steps.
