Kenzie Clutter. Easy. Comparison. This is one of the biggest compliments I can deliver to Thomas. She plays the game the right way, just like Clutter. Last year, she played at the 2 spot, leading her team in scoring and finishing second in every other statistical category. Thomas can hit the 3 ball, she sees the floor well, she can hit all the passes, as well as score from anywhere and get to the bucket. She has a nice floater, goes well to her left, and can finish with both hands around the basket. I am excited to see what the future has in store for her over her final two years as a Dragon.

Harper could very easily be a NCAA Division I basketball player by the time she finishes her senior year. Harper can do a lot of everything, very well. She confidently plays the 1 through 5 spots for the Skyhawks. She makes great basketball decisions. She is a willing passer with a high basketball schedule. She can rebound and block shots with no swats. I like this young lady, a lot. The only thing I would like to see is more consistent aggression on the basketball court. She has height and height always plays, but height may put her down on the block at the D1 level, where aggression is key.

Roop is a solid floor general. She has a basketball IQ that allows her to keep the Warriors afloat in the Mountain State Athletic Conference, the toughest big school conference in W.Va. Her shot has improved over the summer. She tallied two 30-point games with the AAU West Virginia Wild. Defensively, she still needs to work on her one-on-one defense, but the fact she starts for the Warriors is a compliment in itself. Riverside sees all-state talent in just about every contest they play in.

Ward is recovering from an ACL injury. However, Ward has developed a reliable game after she has spent the last three years honing her skills against the best-of-the-best in the Mountain State Athletic Conference. She is a tough kid, who puts in the work and any coach will not be disappointed in her effort. Ward is optimistic she will be back on the court for the Warriors during the 2026-27 season.

Wriston definitely projects as a guard throughout her high school and college basketball career. Her grandfather is short. Her mom and dad are short. It is okay. Wriston is working on all the tips and tricks needed to play the point guard position. She has developed the ability to shoot the 3 and she can finish with both hands at the rim. The key at the high school level will be how she adjusts to the faster game. Can she defend the best-of-the-best night in and night out, because there are no gimmes in Riverside's Mountain State Athletic Conference schedule. Will she be able to absorb contact as she finishes as the rim? I am glad she has shown interest to play at the next level as she will have time to get her feet faster and will be able to learn the game on the court from a number of the top guards in the state.
