ST. ALBANS - St. Albans head coach Elias Gregory's Red Dragons experienced a roller coaster of a 2025-26 basketball season. Playing in the Mountain State Athletic Conference, his team often faced a top team in Class AAAA and AAA on many nights. They won just two of 11 conference games. Outside of the MSAC schedule, the Red Dragons tallied nine wins to just four losses. The Red Dragons will once again face a challenging MSAC schedule this upcoming season. Here are the uncommitted girls or girls who could play in college, according to coach Gregory:

College coaches should fall in love with Binion for a pretty simple reason: She loves to work. And work. And work. And work. She will roll up her sleeves, walk onto a basketball court, and give 100 percent effort, each and every day. She has a great build for a three at the next level. She is devastating in transition. She is an above-average defensive rebounder. She can slash and kick, if need be. Any college would be lucky to add her to the roster. The best part? She still has two more years to further refine her skills.

Hermansdorfer, besides being the owner of my new favorite last name, is the ultimate 3-and-D player. Strong as an ox, with the size to back it up, she blocks shots way better than she should for someone of her height, she loves man-to-man defense, can read a ball screen like its the back of her hand, and she has the unique talent to guard girls bigger than her way better than she probably should be able to guard them. Her 3-point percentage was the second highest on the team, one season ago. She's working on her ball-handling, right now. Hermansdorfer still has two more years to grow, but I could see her being a 2 or 3 at the next level.

Russell is the kind of shooter who can single-handily win a team a basketball game. Last year in the regional tournament, she helped the Red Dragons advance based on her ability to light it up from deep. She still needs to work on her ball-handling, but this young lady has the ultimate confidence in her shot. Set her up with an off the ball screen and watch her drill the shot right in front of a defender.

Barker is a leader. A real leader. She does the rah rah. And, then she goes out on the court and leads by example. Her offensive bag features a killer drop step, a deadly mid-range shot, and the ability to find her way to the basket from around 3 to 4 feet in even if the drop step doesn't work. She moves well without the basketball. I could see an MEC-type school or Rio taking a chance on her and working with her to expand her basketball game at the next level.
