Team Previews- Brookville

Looking to make another big run in the SWBL will be the Brookville Blue Devils. Led by all-Ohio [player_tooltip player_id='959182' first='Jolie' last='Gudorf'] and a cast of talented players, the Blue Devils have their sights set on a long tournament run this season. Here are some of the players they will send out on the floor this season.

Players to Watch

Without a doubt, Jolie has all the tools to not only lead her team to the top of the SWBL in her division, but she is as complete of a player as there is in the Dayton area. Not only does she have a great physical frame, she is a matchup nightmare with her playing on the outside. Great length and plays the game with a smart basketball IQ. Solid defender both inside or out, Jolie is a great prospect at the next level.

Like Jolie, this young lady is a great multi-sport athlete. She is the epitome of a solid leader from the guard spot, not only can she direct the offense for the Blue Devils, she also can score from anywhere around the perimeter. Solid on-ball defender with the poise of an experienced player. Coaches kid who can be a quarterback on the floor.

I was hooked on her game the first time she stepped onto the court back as a freshman, she is such a force with great size and frame. Great rebounder, can use her length to control things in the paint. Good hands, nice touch in the paint. She was second on the team in scoring and rebounding last season and shot the ball over 50% from the field. Would like to see her free throw numbers increase this year as she will be the recipient of some free points this season.

One of the more underrated players in the SWBL is Megan, wno did score just shy of double figures, but she brings a lot to the table that does not show up in the box score. While she did set a new school record for most three's in a game during her sophomore season, she is most defined as someone who does what it takes to win. She is an excellent defender on the perimeter and harassed point guards.

Sleepers to Watch

Coach Kummer is counting on a handful of players to step up and fill that fifth spot in the lineup after graduating a couple of key seniors. Players to keep an eye on this year will be [player_tooltip player_id='1816905' first='Kaylee' last='Haupt'], Marissa Hemmerich, [player_tooltip player_id='1843174' first='Olivia' last='Shelton'] and Maci Warner. All of them bring something different to the table and hope to balance the roster including being key players off the bench this season.
