Grab your popcorn and get ready for some outstanding basketball, because Coaches Lee Sims and Liliána Velázquez of Columbus Academy have so much talent! Last season, The Vikings finished with a 24-2 record, with their first ever trip to the Regional Semifinals! With last year's roster virtually intact, there's only one court that matters to these young ladies in March: Dayton Arena! Let's take a look at some key players to watch this season!

Owens' shooting from deep is as smooth as butter! She is lethal from three point land, terrific shot creator! However, Kendall does so much on the defensive end that is just as deadly as her scoring! She finds ways to pick pockets! Hands and feet are always moving! She is a baller! (Featured Photo)

Sydney's light feet get her places! She has excellent court vision and ball control- and finds ways to slither past multiple players to the rim! Love her attack mode- Smoot will either hurt you driving or shooting from outside!

When I watch Coats play, I can't help but smile! I love her intensity and joy she displays after big plays, and it's contagious! I've said it before- her athleticism and how she is able to move around defenders is a sight to see! One of the best in driving to the basket and laying it in with control! (Below with ball)

Coleman is the type of player that massively feeds off of her defense! She loves to aggravate opponents with pressure D, and does it with traps, on ball, and by anticipating passes! Outstanding in transition- and it doesn't matter if she's bumped or in traffic. Na'lani makes plays.

Lianna ís scrappy, will go after loose balls, fight for any rebound, clog up the lane like she owns that entire territory, and she's a bucket on the block! She has a high ceiling! And her teamwork/ leadership is noticeable! (Below on defense)
