Sweeney, a "Certified Bucket Getter", and future Maryville Saint, has been East's leading scorer since she first hit the court, as a freshman, dropping 20 in her debut back in 2023. Eclipsing the 1,000 point mark, last season, Sweeney's combination of scoring ability and basketball IQ has the Patriots as a favorite in the rugged FVA this season.

With 887 career points, Bilke should be at 1,000 by early December as the Blue Jays look to make some noise in a tough Bay Conference.

Hafner makes the list, not only because of a terrific junior season where she averaged 14.0 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 2.2 apg, 2.3 spg, but also based on the fact that she was the glue that kept the Hawks together, helping lead them to a conference title, when two of their top players went down with injury. Starts her final season with a shot at hitting 1,000 career points if she matches last season's productivity.

Werfal, in my opinion is one of the more underrated players, in the Appleton Area, who does not get the attention that she deserves. Tough, and physical, Werfal, a 2nd Team All-Conference selection, is a handful for defenders to try and slow down as she has helped lead a turnaround, of sorts, at Appleton North.

No list of top players would be complete without future Badger, Van Vonderen the number four rated player in the state. Last season, Van Vonderen eclipsed the 1,000 point mark, in the Regional Final, adding to an already impressive resume that includes a state title in 2025. The Papermakers look loaded again, this season, and Van Vonderen's play will be key to their chances in an always tough FVA.
