She was hitting catch-and-shoot threes without any hesitation and against heavy closeouts. She can singlehandedly break down a 2-3 zone with her outside shooting, opening up driving lanes for her team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Besides outside shooting, Melder was finding other ways to score. She was pulling up from mid-range, making nice cuts to the basket, and attacking the offensive glass. And these were no "ordinary" threes, she was chunking shots from well behind the 3-point line, and with a hand in her face...and she was nailing them.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Burel's scoring was the true headline whenever she stepped onto the floor, but stopping opposing scorers at the other end was noteworthy. She was in everyone's face, forcing her opponents into tough shots. There was one sequence of plays that showed just how impactful she can be in short spurts. Fields stole an entry pass on one end and then turned around and nailed a shot off the catch. This all happened in maybe 30 seconds, if that.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The incoming freshman is also impressive running the floor in transition. In just about every game she played in, she hit multiple triples, usually off the catch. Not only is Collins a great shooter, but she is great at getting herself open.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The rising junior found all sorts of ways to get open: utilizing off-ball screens, cutting to the basket, showing great floor spacing. When the ball was in her hands, she wasn't sitting and thinking about what she wanted to do, she was making quick decisions. But like I mentioned, she can do much more than that.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When she has the ball in her hands, Edwards is equally dangerous when she opts to pull up and shoot, or when she decides to drive to the basket. Edwards is a tough player and she absorbs contact without any trouble.
