Who stood out the most at The Expo: Arkansas?

This past Sunday was The Expo: Arkansas in Jacksonville. It was a great turnout, with well over 50 players showing up and showing out. But amongst this 50+, there were a few players who made the most of their opportunities on the court, and they certainly turned heads.    I had a couple interesting interactions with those in the PGH organization on Sunday regarding [player_tooltip player_id='1090371' first='Jaisha' last='Williams']. One of the out-of-state organizers for the event came up to me during one of her scrimmages and was showering her game with confidence. She was remarking at how smooth Williams was with the ball in her hands and how much she impacted the game. We continued talking about her and the Bryant Lady Hornets, and somehow, I mentioned that few colleges have offered Williams. I've never seen someone's head whip around so fast, and I don't think she believes me still.   Whether against 3x3 or 5x5 competition, Williams made play after play with the ball in her hands. She drove hard to the basket and finished through contact. She was always looking to get inside, and once she did, the defense couldn't do a single thing to stop her.   Williams started her freshman season at Bryant as more of a center/power forward. But now, she is absolutely looking like a small forward or shooting guard based on the way she handles the ball in the fullcourt, and based on the way she is shooting from beyond the arc.   Long evaluation, I know, but [player_tooltip player_id='1090371' first='Jaisha' last='Williams'] put people on notice Sunday.     During the scrimmages, I could easily see [player_tooltip player_id='1229188' first='Addyson' last='Grimmett'] gain the confidence and respect of her teammates, and giving her the ball was a no-brainer.   Grimmett shined playing as both the primary ball-handler and as an off-ball guard. She distributed the ball very well and made sure to get all of her teammates involved. Whatever player gave her a screen along the perimeter, she uses perfectly. If Poyen tasks Grimmett with running the offense this season, she could be a beast at running the pick-n-roll.   Besides playmaking, Grimmett was scoring at will, not letting her frame dictate anything. She was finishing extremely well over taller defenders, whether it was with her floater or a reverese layup. She has a tight handle which allowed her to easily find creases in the defense and make plays. Plus, her outside shot was absolutely going on Sunday, and it was silly to leave her open.   [player_tooltip player_id='1229188' first='Addyson' last='Grimmett'] is tough, and she will fit in nicely with Poyen this season. I think she really surprised a lot of people, and expectations for her this high school season are even higher.     [player_tooltip player_id='1866829' first='Morgan' last='Bonds'] was a late addition to the event on Sunday, but she was absolutely worth the price of admission.   It seemed like every time Bonds drove through the lane, she made a shot. It didn't matter if it was a layup or a floater, I don't recall her ever missing, and she drove inside a lot. When the ball is in her hands, she completely controls the offense, and when her team needs a bucket, she delivers. Bonds uses screens well, but she is quick enough and a skilled ball-handler, so she can take a defender off the dribble one-on-one without any issues.   Bonds was also shooting the lights out from beyond. She was hitting open and contested shots, whether they were off the dribble or off the catch. There was even a scrimmage where she showed how clutch she is, hitting a huge shot before the buzzer sounded.   As a disclaimer, [player_tooltip player_id='1866829' first='Morgan' last='Bonds'] is actually now at Little Rock Christian, and I would imagine that she is going to get buckets against any level of competition.     I had a lot of people coming up to me at The Expo, telling me, "that Steelman kid is really good." It didn't matter if it was one of the event organizers, a AAU coach, or a college scout, [player_tooltip player_id='1438116' first='Avery' last='Steelman'] was putting everybody on notice.   Steelman definitely looked like one of the best players on the floor every time her team played. She was brilliant in a 3x3 contest where she looked unstoppable. Her outside shot was solid, but she was making her money by attacking the basket. Every time she went up, she would ignore contact and finish through traffic. There was even a play where she finished over 3 defenders.   Like I said, Steelman can definitely shoot from outside. There were times where her shot wasn't on, so she made she to attack closeouts and get to the basket or pull up from mid-range. But if she was ever left open, the lefty would drill it from outside.   [player_tooltip player_id='1438116' first='Avery' last='Steelman'] is going to be one of the best guards in 6A this coming year, and the competition shoudl be shaking in their boots.     Out of everyone who played at The Expo: Arkansas, I don't think anyone had a larger all-around impact than [player_tooltip player_id='1260223' first='De'Asia' last='Neal'].   Neal was outstanding with the ball in her hands, not because she was scoring a lot, but because she was doing the little things that either get overlooked on a stat sheet, or aren't recorded at all.   Her vision as a forward is spectacular. Whether she was in the halfcourt or bringing the ball up, she had her eyes up and was seeking an open teammate. When she ever decided to score points herself, she used her size to her advantage, backing down defenders and scoring with ease under the basket. And no matter what end of the floor she was on, she played with great activity.   One of the organizers for the event came up to me and was also complementary of [player_tooltip player_id='1260223' first='De'Asia' last='Neal'], remarking as to how she can make plays in every facet of the game, and how she shouldn't be confined to one particular position.
