We are only a few days away from scrimmages tipping off all around the state followed by regular season games at the week's end. With that being said, this group of 2030s in Georgia is already receiving national acclaim as whole for the elite talent at the top and the incredible depth throughout so it is hard to be recognized in Georgia without playing a high school game. For most of these kids their careers begin this week and their potential make them players to watch the next four months.

Lauren should be an instant impact freshman for Harris County who had an impressive 23-6 record a year ago. Two of their leading scorers graduated, but the core of the young team returns. Lauren may not replacee the 25 points per game lost scoring the basketball, but if you combine her points and assists I think she would come close. She is very elusive with the basketball and has the ability to score from all three levels. Her biggest strength may be facilitating the offense now and she will do plenty of that at the point guard position, but she will need to score as well for Harris County to advance deeper in the tournament. Clayton State did not wait and offered after an impressive showing at their team camp in June.

Allen was better than good at the GBCA Live Event in June with Union Grove. I had not seen her play prior, but she was hard to miss with her height, length, and high activity level. Defensively, Allen did a nice job protecting the rim blocking and altering shots with her arms fully extended and straight up. On the offensive end, Abrielle knocked down shots from the perimeter, including more than one behind the three-point line, scored slashing to the basket in traffic, and finished with ease on the break. She has the size college coaches are looking for and after one viewing I would say the game to match. Alabama A&M agrees with me and has already offered Allen heading into her freshman season. One I think that will turn some heads around the Peach State this year..

Robbins could and probably will replace the productivity of the departing [player_tooltip player_id='1688677' first='Kennedi' last='Harris'] in due time for Windsor. Both of the 6'3 freshmen look the part already, in fact I would say Robbins looks very similar to Jayden McClain at the same age, because of her shot-blocking ability and size (especially the wingspan). She moves very well for a young player who is probably she still growing, with the ability to guard on the perimeter now if necessary. Robbins showed a knack for scoring as a middle school player whether she was burying jump shots from the perimeter, scoring on give and go's to the basket, or blowing by defenders and finishing at the rim. She has a lot of potential and I look forward to tracking her progress over the season.

Charlotte is a strong kid for her age already and plays off of two feet around the rim, which is desired by college coaches but a disappearing art. She has the handles to slide over to the point guard position in the next few years if necessary for Veterans, where she will join the very talented 2030 [player_tooltip player_id='1688677' first='Kennedi' last='Harris']. Charlotte shot the ball very well from the perimeter during the [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] Earned Not Given Camp I was at in September, utilizing a nice step-back move more than once. She should see the floor early for a team that went 9-19 a year ago and I expect her to have a productive freshman season with most of the defense's attention on Harris.

Haiden moves really well for her size and she may end up in the post full time, but watching her in Knoxville sprint ahead of the pack on the break after grabbing defensive rebounds and outletting the ball to her guards. Defensively, she came from out of position several times to help and block multiple shots. She was very good on the offensive boards as well and showed nice touch finishing around the basket on put-backs. Troup County will need her to produce early and often on the boards, scoring, and as a rim protector with the departure of Sheniyah Philpot, who averaged 21 points and nine rebounds a game a year ago. That type of production is not to be expected in her first season, but with continued development and work she could in a couple of years. Haiden plays with a high motor and that translates to any level.
